We have been a little quiet on here as we have been busy preparing for next year! We have more than doubled our grow space for next year, planting an additional 100 peonies, creating space to add hellebores, roses, baptisia, geum, more astilbe and other perennials. Plus lots of new varieties of annuals. Sweet peas were so popular last year that we are starting an additional garden of them. Our new tunnel is going to allow us to expand our season by about a month on each side. We are so excited! And now for a little rest. Winter cover crops in, hardy annuals planted or sowed, gardens mulched in, dahlias dug up and stored away, this year's peonies cut back. Time for some scrabble in the evenings by the cozy fire.

I love these tall cut flower snapdragons so much that I have a whole 4ft x 50ft row just for them. Snapdragons attract hummingbirds, bees & butterflies to the garden and their colours are just out of this world and they smell heavenly.
