Today we had to lay to rest the best pony on this earth. All our horses are the best but this pony was beyond that. She was patient, kind,and easy. The called her Perfect Penny for a reason. “Worth Every Penny” She was just that. Perfect. We had her 20 years and that wasn’t enough. She is irreplaceable. But today was her day. We will miss this girl. I’m sorry we couldn’t fix you today. It’s days like this that make me want to pack it in. I invite anyone that has had the pleasure of riding this pony to share photos. ❤️

Windamere Equestrian centre and Rachel Schnurr lost a unicorn today. “Rock Steady”. Rocky, Rockster, Rocky Road, Doodle, was Rachel’s junior Hunter then went on to Jessica Rasek on lease for the next 5 or so years. When I say he was a perfect horse, he was just that. He didn’t have a mean bone in his body. He never did anything wrong. I loved his deer in the headlight look when you called him and he would stop munching on his hay to see what you brought for him. He was my favourite horse in the barn. He will be missed but not forgotten by everyone at our barn. Special thanks to my staff for helping him cross over and to Emily Jantzi from Manning Equine. . His halter is hanging at the front door so we don’t forget him.

Now that the whole Windamere team is back north, we’d like thank all of our clients, families and friends on the best winter circuit yet! We are so proud of everything achieved this circuit with each and every one of the horses and riders. We sold 4 amazing horses this year, all to wonderful homes and look forward to watching them continue on with them. We had two new imports come in, Kamikaze Picobello Z - a new partnership for Rachel, and Can Be Picobello Z - a young prospect for Meghan Ge**er. Thank you to Ashley Sakaguchi for letting us stay at your wonderful property this year. We are so happy to be back home with the rest of our clients and look forward to an amazing 2024 Show Season✨
