ODINS TIP OF THE DAY
Now that winter is here don’t forget to brush up on cold weather safety! Remember certain breeds love the cold, and certain ones do not! Research what your breed/breeds need and keep an eye out for hypothermia symptoms!
For me, I don’t mind going to p*e or for a short walk, but if going in skidoo or quad or a big walk I want my jacket! My paw pads get moisturized well and my Pawrents buy only pet friendly deicing salt for the shop and at home!
Don’t forget to watch out for our kitty friends as well who like to hide underneath vehicles, and if you see a cat who looks to be showing hypothermia signs, try to contact the owner or a rescue if they do not have one!

When waiting for small humans to drop food you have to watch both your Pawrents and them! They kept telling me to “back up” and “no” when I’d inch closer? Like seriously she’s gonna drop some anyway but I’ve perfected side eye so they don’t see me move but I can see the food.

Just a warning to my customers and followers that I have been seeing many fake profiles "selling" puppies on local pages lately. I recommend checking first that the profile, pictures and puppies are real and if so asking to see parents, health checks and meeting the puppy in person before sending any kind of deposit.
When in doubt always be hesitant, I understand the excitement of wanting a new family member, but have unfortunately seen deposits get stolen or the dog end up being an extremely ill dog.
If the profile seems fake or the images, my biggest tip is to reverse image search and see where else these photos have been posted, 9/10 times I find them as stock images for various companies.
If you ever want advice on breeds, a post, grooming needs and cost before deciding what breed/breeds are well suited for your family do not hesitate to reach out!

PawSpaw has been open for 3 years today!
I am so grateful for each and every one of the pets who have come through my door, and getting to love and take care of these fur babies is a dream come true.
This is my first business anniversary without my beloved Zeus and I am so happy to say his legend as a grumpy old man lives on through PawSpaw, and we have welcomed Odin (who is much less grumpy 😂) with open arms and excitement.

This is the new client contracts for 2024! Please note the new cancellation policy in red, and this form is required for ALL clients before I can groom your pets this year for my personal protection as a small business!
It can be filled out from this picture and sent to me in messenger, printed at home and given to me, or copies will be available at my shop by Friday!

Happy New Year everybody!
My assistant and I are busy doing some behind the scenes work for PawSpaw! I also am opening up booking for next week for full grooms and other services today so please feel free to message!
There will be new client contracts for 2024 posted today, I do require every client to sign before I can work on their pets, I’m hoping to have it available electronically as well as in person if needed! They will be mostly the same as the ones in the past except for a new cancellation policy. Unfortunately due to the large amounts of no shows and last minute cancellations last year i feel the need to implement a policy. I understand life comes up and I try to be as kind as possible, but in the last year I’ve had an abundance of these situations happening and with the area we live it is hard to fill these spots last minute with everyone living at least 20 minutes away. I appreciate every single customer I have, and I do apologize for the inconvenience of this but I also do have to keep my business open in order to give your pets these services 🙂
Odin and I are looking forward to seeing everyone and can’t wait to welcome you all back for another year at PawSpaw!

My last official Christmas groom was my own boy!
Thank you to all my wonderful clients for bringing their pets by, presents and the appreciation! It was a very busy December month with the most pets I’ve ever groomed in one month! We will be taking a much needed holiday break and I will post when we are back!
Odins first Christmas has been amazing already thanks to all of you!

Thank you to everyone who got their pet groomed this year, I am so excited to be PawSpaws new assistant/model!
My tip is to have the best Christmas ever, and keep an eye out for updates, new customer contracts and adorable pictures of me 😂
Please note my mom and I will be taking some time off to celebrate Christmas after today, send tools away for servicing and spending time with family. Feel free to message, but we may be slower to respond/not book in until we are back to work! But she will star the message to make sure she gets back to you.
