We are so excited to welcome Dr. Mat Stephenson to our Rice Lake family!😃 Dr. Mat will be joining us on August 26th & 27th, & September 9th & 10th. He will then be joining us FULL TIME on September 17th, 2024!🥳 Dr. Mat has practiced Veterinary Medicine in the area for over 20 years! He lives with his wife Brenda, two kids Campbell & Nolan and their labs Asher & Zach🏠🐶🐶💙 Dr. Mat has a strong bond with the community he grew up in & is involved in community events such as the Orono Fair🐮🐷🐔
We are excited for our amazing clients to meet him!

Help Save the Turtles!
Come visit us to purchase a HANDMADE SNUGGLER to help raise funds for the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre (OTCC)!🐢🧸 50% of proceeds will be donated! All items have been made by one of our lovely staff members☺️

Did you know we protect over 20 snapping turtle nests and up to 5 painted turtle nests! Every year our staff collects and releases over 150 baby turtles on their hatch day!

Snapping turtles are a species of special concern in Ontario & Canada. This means they may become threatened or endangered due to a combination of biological characteristics or identifiable threats. Less than 1 in 100 turtle eggs laid will hatch and grow into adult turtles. This is why it’s important to protect our turtles!

The OTCC’s mission is to protect and conserve Ontario’s native turtles and their habitat. They accomplish this by operating a turtle hospital that treats, rehabilitates and releases injured turtles.
