Maci and Gunner were pretty excited to see their cows and calves with Papa Scott this morning! Lots of grass, cows are healthy and calves are coming along great!

We had a busy weekend hauling cows to pasture! Tess was pretty excited to help the crew get the girls to grass! We still have more to go out, but after a much needed rain, things are greening up nicely!

It was a chilly day to trail, but the whole crew was out to bring the girls home for the winter!

A couple of days ago we had to say goodbye to a part of our crew. Bandit our beloved border collie crossed the rainbow bridge. He was a loyal sidekick during the cold winter months of calving season, loved riding shotgun to check cows in the summer and kept the ladies in line during pellet time, vaccinating and any other time he was allowed to tag along. He will be missed but we are so grateful for the 13 years we had with him ❤️

We strive to have quiet cows that are easy to handle.. but “Wilma” has to be hands down the best cow on the farm. She raises great calves for Cole every year and is always around for a friendly scratch... even if the scratch is from a toddler!

A Sunday afternoon drive today to take pictures of the calves on the cows before sale day. The calves sell September 13th at Heartland Livestock in Yorkton.
