Another business that has helped make the Mother’s Day gift basket giveaway a reality is .

Envy is a progressive salon that believes in continuous hair education. The team of stylists travel the globe to train side-by-side with some of the best hairstylists in the industry.

We want to take a moment to highlight the wonderful local businesses that have helped us make the Mother’s Day giveaway in support of the .ospca a reality!

The first business we will be highlighting is . Hind Quarter Meats was generous enough to donate some delicious products like a Maple Spice Blend, Maple Butter, Raspberry Chocolate Truffle Bar, a Pink Balsamic Vinegar, and a $50 gift certificate to their store!

We have a very exciting month ahead of us! Check out our calendar on Facebook, Instagram, and our website.

As we announced yesterday we have collaborated with the Barrie SPCA and other local businesses to help raise money for the Barrie Animal Centre. All you have to do is donate on our fundraiser page to be entered in to win a Mother’s Day gift basket valued at $575! The link can be found in our Instagram bio, on our website, or you can scan the QR codes on the poster. The winner will be announced Friday May 10th.

Keep an eye on our social media page to see exactly what is in included in the gift basket!

Also on May 10th we will be doing paw print art with all the dogs in daycare for Mother’s Day!

May 13th will be an enrichment day where we will focus on gate control! Helping to reinforce the idea that the dogs cannot go out a door unless they are called. This excellent brain game will not only tire them out but is also a great foundation for safety related training.

May 23rd will be another enrichment day where the dogs will have to break toys out of ice blocks. This will stimulate the problem solving parts of their brain and be a lot of fun!

Lastly, we are very excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with for a very exciting giveaway. Be listening and call in on May 28th to win a DNA kit for your dog! Switch on Kool FM for the month of May for all the details. More details to come!

We’re thrilled to announce that we will be embarking on a tail-wagging adventure in support of the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s mission to bring comfort, care, and compassion to our furry friends in need!

Tomorrow is National Hug Your Dog Day! So, for tomorrow’s enrichment we will be giving each dog individual time with a handler to snuggle, get hugs, and special attention. This individual time will help to solidify the bond between handler and dog and build trust. Down time is important to have in exciting environments as well as it will help teach the dogs self control. See you tomorrow! 🥰🐾

This Monday April 8th we will be experiencing a near-total solar eclipse. To keep the dogs safe during this time we will be staying indoors where there are no windows. Since they will be missing out on some of their outside time we will be doing an indoor pool party!

We are happy to make any changes to schedules to avoid pick ups during peak time of the eclipse. Will you be viewing the eclipse? Let us know in the comments.

Save the dates for our April Theme Days! 🗓️

The first week of April is National Raw Feeding Week and we will be answering common questions regarding a raw food diet for your dog. If you’ve thought about getting your dog started with a raw diet or if you current feed a raw diet then keep an eye on our social media pages for those posts! 🦴

April 8th we will be experiencing a solar eclipse! We will be keeping the dogs safely inside during the eclipse so we have some extra fun planned for the day. ☀️🌕

April 10th is Hug Your Dog Day so our enrichment will consist of individual cuddle time with a handler. 🥰 this will help enforce our bond and add a much needed mental break for your pup as it is possible to have too much of a good thing!

To celebrate Canine Fitness Month will be pulling out our equipment on April 19th for our second enrichment day. This will work on your dogs balance and add even more fitness to their day! 💪🏻

We are so excited to announce that we will be hosting another Pet First Aid Course this April in partnership with !

Did you know that April is Pet First Aid Awareness Month? During an emergency, every second counts so it’s important to have a plan and proper knowledge. Join us to learn what to do in different situations, get access to discounted products, and always feel prepared.

The course will take place Sunday April 28th at 11:00am at The Hound Lounge! Tickets are $54.99 per person but if you place your order by Monday April 1st you will get an early bird discount of 20%. That’s $10.99 in savings!

Tomorrow is our second Enrichment Day! The dogs will be exposed to walking on new surfaces. The AKC says that exposure to walking on new surfaces can help make dogs confident to challenges or unfamiliar situations.
