Welcome to all our new followers we met at the wedding shows this weekend. It was a busy weekend, but I have officially emailed everyone back who filled out an inquiry form or contact form! So if you don’t see it in your inbox please check your junk mail.

We are officially booking 2026 and 2027 weddings, and we do have some limited dates remaining for 2025. Spots are filling in fast; so please please please book your pet services as soon as possible. It always hurts my soul when we have to turn someone away because our dates are full.

And if you missed us at the wedding shows this weekend, you can find us at the Gibson Centre Open House on March 22 from 10-3

Let’s talk about getting ready photos with your pets! These are quite often my favourite photos of the day as they tend to be more candid and relaxed.

So you want to include your pet in getting ready photos? Here’s some things to think about first:
🏨 is your Airbnb/ hotel/ bridal suite etc. where you are getting ready pet friendly? Some venues may be pet friendly but do not allow pets in the bridal suite, so this is important to check.

👯‍♀️ make sure your hair and make up team know your pet will be there. Some people are very nervous around animals, so you don’t want to surprise them with this info. And if they are nervous, make sure to communicate that with your pet wedding chaperone so that we can keep the pets away from that individual. We don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable.

🤔 With all your girls, glam team, photographers and videographers in the space, is there realistically enough space for your pet to join? If space is limited consider having them come by for just a few quick photos towards the end of getting ready instead.

📸 Consider what type of getting ready photos you want with your pet. Do you want them in the posed group shot? Or just in candids? Do you want them in photos with the whole bridal party, or with just the bride?

🤵🏻‍♂️ What about your partner? Do they want some getting ready photos with your pets too?

Consider us part of your wedding entourage for the day. Usually close by with your dog for those candid photo moments, and taking behind the scenes content of your big day. Need someone to hold your train, we can help. Holding flowers, we are pros at that. Running to grab something you forgot in the bridal suite, no problem! And we do it all with your dog in tow.

Yesterday at the was such a success, I am slowly chipping away at replying to the 20+ contact requests that were filled out at the show, plus those of you that have gone onto my website and filled out the inquiry form! If you don’t see an email by end of day tomorrow, please check your junk mail. Thank you so much.

I do want everyone to be aware that we are a small team and do our best to be able to fit in as many weddings as possible but dates are always first come first served. So with that being said, if you are holding off on booking your pet chaperone services, please don’t. Please message us as soon as possible to reserve your date - we can always work out scheduling closer to the wedding but even dates for 2026 are filling in and we have some dates on the calendar already for 2027.

We are so looking forward to this wedding season, and are so incredibly grateful for all the wonderful connections we make at these shows and how much we have been able to grow.

Floral collars for dogs? Absolutely a yes, but here’s my pro tips to keep them looking nice and safe for your dog:

Use pet friendly flowers if at all possible or fake flowers.

Allow your dog time to get comfortable with it - do this in the weeks leading up to the wedding with a fake floral collar.

If using fresh flowers put it on only for photos/ ceremony and take it off in between - this will help it stay intact better.

Try not to use heavy flowers or delicate flowers. Greenery with small flowers will have the same effect and be less likely to fall apart while walking down the aisle.

If possible have it made so it slides over the collar or wraps around it (much easier to do with fake florals) so it stays tight to the neck and doesn’t get too loose for the dog to trip on.

Make sure it ties closed this way we can tie it nice and tight and secure.

My personal preference leans towards fake florals for pets as it’s safer for them, you can practice with it in the weeks leading up to the wedding, it’s typically more cost effective as well.

I always love when we get the chance to include the pups in the wedding party photos - after all they are part of the wedding party too! You don’t have to include them in all your wedding party photos (although, you can!) but I always recommend having them in at least a couple!

I have always had a passion for animals and have always felt that they are a part of the family and should be included in all your major milestones.
