Our New Year’s resolution was to offer more engaging content however I missed Welcome Wednesday due to getting sick 😷
So here is Welcome Wednesday on a Thursday 😅
Over the weekend we made the trek up to our friends at PAWR to make a donation to their pet food bank and pick up 5 dogs to enter our foster program .

Very adaptable so she would adjust to any family. She is great with kids but may knock over little ones with excitement when you come home. She would love to have a fur sibling to run around the yard with.
Roxy settles well in her crate and will sleep the whole night without a sound. She seems to do well out of her crate at night as well. She is fully house trained. She will need work on leash for walking. She is a smart doggie who will catch onto leash training quickly. She loves her foster brother Apollo. She gets excited to hang out with him each morning. They play for hours in the back yard.
Roxy shares her toys well and has shown no territorial issues once she has settled. She knows how to sit and wait for her meals and only eat when instructed. She can sit, lay down and “leave” her treats. She sometimes gets excited and jumps to greet but if you use the word “off” she will usually listen. Roxy does love her meals so we feed her with a slow feeding bowl to help slow her down.
Roxy is a very curious dog and always wants to be around whatever is going on. She also does enjoy a good cuddle and nap with her humans or furry friends. She learns the rules quick and will make a wonderful addition to any family.

Allis is a sweet girl who is eager to please! She plays well with her foster sister who is a German shepherd and is very interested in her feline friends. She loves toys and bones, but most of all she loves lots of love!
She is a patient and polite eater. She will sit and wait to be given her meal, and also waits for a foot wipe when coming in from outside!
Allie is working on manners when leaving the house, as she doesn't want to be left behind! She is also working on listening to boundaries from other animal friends. Sometimes they don't always want to play and need a break!
Allie is almost house trained, is working on leash manners and being quiet in crate. She doesn't want to be out of the action so cries when initially crated but settles quickly. This will improve with a consistent routine and practice ☺️

Cara is such a sweet, cuddly girl. She loves to spend time with her people whether it be playing fetch (with anything she can find for you to throw) or snuggling on the couch.
Cara likes to go for walks. She is good on the leash, but her real passion is playing fetch! She will bring her frisbee or toy right back to you and place it gently on your lap.
She is housetrained but benefits from regular trips outside to remind her the right place to go.
Car rides are a favourite too. She enjoys looking out the window watching the world fly by.
Cara is not crated at night. She likes to sleep in bed with her fosters! In fact, she loves to burrow under the blankets and cuddle in.
Cara recently had dental surgery and now her smile is as shiny and healthy as can be!
Cara has some hearing loss so needs to be approached carefully so she doesn’t get startled. When her foster family needs her attention they whistle, clap, or snap their fingers and she comes running. If Cara gets startled, she may nip which is why she's best with teens or adults who can approach calmly. This is due to her lack of hearing. Cara likes to keep her people close so she knows where all the action is and doesn’t miss out on any fun.
Cara has been one of her foster family’s favourite foster dogs.

Nova is a calm dog in a calm environment. She would thrive in a calm household. She enjoys playing with other dogs. Nova is also good with cats as long as they are calm or dog savy.
Nova does not let her size stop her from being a lap dog and takes any opportunity to shower humans with kisses. She is excellent at alerting you if there is someone nearing the door.
Nova needs to continue working on leash manners. She would be best suited to somewhere with opportunities for running, playing fetch and sniffing around a fenced yard.
She is good with kids but best suited to older kids as she loves to jump up to give hugs and kisses. Nova also loves a good brain puzzle or stuffed kong.
Although she is a doodle mix, we make no guarantees about shedding.

Roxy sleeps beautifully overnight in her crate. She also eats meals in her crate. She is not fully house trained but is almost there! Regular trips outside help this girl.
She has been good with all of the dogs she has met but does play rough. Another dog in the house would be great for her, one who will actively play with her. A dog-savvy cat would be ok too with guidance. She is good with all people.
She loves walks and is learning to be a nice lady on the leash. She is a forager and will sneak any food, garbage or clothing left lying around. (Kleenex is a favourite). She loves the snow, loves playing with her foster sister and brother (cat), loves belly rubs, and loves every kind of toy. She is not food or toy motivated, she is just happy to please and receive attention. She is easily corrected when doing something she shouldn’t.
