Introduction to Trick Training
5 week prorated session starting February 24th
4 week prorated session starting March 3rd
This fun and fast paced class will have your dog learning a variety of impressive tricks. The basics of trick training will be taught and students will work on novice and intermediate level tricks. A solid foundation will be laid for future complex tricks as well. Dogs will work on tricks appropriate to their build, age and athletic ability so this class is open all ages of dogs.

Working Class is an extension of Canadian Association of Rally Obedience. Working off leash, dogs display their thinking skills at progressively greater distance and in increasingly complex exercises. These challenges build on skills specifically from Competitive Rally Obedience.

Prerequisites:
Dogs must have mastered stationary exercises Sit, Stand, Down as well as mannerly walking off leash in the presence of moderate distractions. Dogs are expected to be comfortable in their crates waiting their turn.

‘Bad manners’ is not a concept your dog understands. To them it is a behaviour that has been rewarded (maybe unintentionally by their human), a natural doggy behaviour that feels good to them or perhaps it’s the dog communicating a NEED they have. A huge thank you to judge Anic Vermette from Quebec City who judged our CKC and AAC trials this Family Day weekend. Anic's flight arrived LATE on Saturday after weather delays and then her return flight was cancelled and rebooked to Wednesday after the tragedy at Pearson. She spent more time in hotels then at the trials 😞 Her courses were beautiful and she was always cheerful the whole weekend. We are hopeful that Anic can get home by train today.
Thank you to both trial secretaries Dara and Cheryl who worked double duty and still managed to run their dogs. Dara had to relocated to Barrie from Wasaga Beach on Friday and still can not return home. Our organizing committee and volunteers were amazing and the skeleton crew at the Red Barn managed to get the place cleaned and set up both days.

We were so thankful for all of the competitors that came out to play with their dogs (from Sudbury to southern Ontario) and sad that some had to miss the trials due to travel concerns! Congrats to those who got legs and new titles. Everyone was kind, helpful and humbled to be able to enjoy each other's company and spend quality time playing with their canine companions.

Trials that are affected by weather (snow, rain or heat) are the hardest to host no matter what the season is. We are so thankful for everyone in our agility community and look forward to seeing you all at future trials.

Scent Detection is a sport where your dog takes the lead! It is intellectually stimulating and fulfilling for both the dog and human as they work together to find hidden odour.
