Even though I’m not breeding Budgies anymore, I am breeding Conures and Lovebirds.

I’ve decided that I won’t be breeding Budgies anymore. I have sold all my birds except 2 pairs of Lovebirds and 2 pairs of Conures. I have enjoyed breeding over the years and took a lot of pride in producing beautiful, friendly birds. I’m glad that I’ve touched so many lives with my babies. I’m looking forward to the next chapter in my life whatever that may bring. 💕

Unfortunately things are not going well here. We lost Heidi, the English mom, and even trying to foster, we lost all the babies. We are not having any luck breeding this summer. We’re going to take some time to reset/regroup and try again in a few weeks when the weather gets cooler.

All 3 babies are thriving (one is hiding with mom and dad)! One was fostered to another pair as she was sitting on 4 infertile eggs. Excited to watch these 3 grow.

Free delicious healthy treat for your birds…dandelion. Both leaves and flowers are good for your birds. Make sure they haven’t been treated with pesticides. Wash and give them to your birds 😊

The first 4 are Olive & Garfunkel’s beautiful girls. Malibu Ken & Darla Von Squeala’s little girl is the fourth generation Von Squeala girl! All of these babies are currently being handfed. 3 of these sweethearts will be looking for their forever homes in April.

Daffodil and Jerry’s babies are now weaned and enjoying life in the nursery cage. Two will be staying here and one will be heading to its new home in a couple weeks.

Daffodil and Jerry’s babies are now 9, 7 & 4 days old. They all look very healthy and are very well taken care of by their parents. We will start hand feeding them when they’re 14 days old.

Unfortunately we’ve had some bad luck lately with babies. Of the 6 babies that hatched (regular and English), we only have one that survived. This beautiful boy will be staying here with us for future breeding. We’re hoping future clutches will be better. December was devastating for us. Hopefully 2023 will be full of healthy, happy babies.

Daffodil and Jerry are excited to welcome their first baby. They are both first time parents. Daffodil was hatched and hand raised right here by Leanne (For the Love of Budgies). Daffodil’s mother is a crested budgie. Jerry is a beautiful crested boy that was one of the last babies from Jerry Randell before he passed away last year. We are very excited to watch these babies grow.

The 2 English babies are growing so fast! They will be pulled this weekend for hand feeding. Unfortunately, out of 6 eggs from the rainbows, 5 hatched and only one survived. He’s very healthy and is being hand fed. He looks like he’s going to be a full body greywing and we’ll probably be keeping him for our future breeding of Rainbows.

We’re up to 3 healthy babies. Next egg due to hatch tomorrow. English budgie eggs are due to start hatching any day now!

This little sweetheart joined the flock on the weekend. She is a 3 week old Japanese Crested Budgie. She is being hand fed and doing great. Hopefully in a year or so we will be breeding Japanese Crested budgies. We just haven’t decided on her name yet.
