I am excited to open some availability up for TS Horsemanship Clinics in 2025!

Clinics are a great way to start to, or continue to expand your knowledge in the industry. I am thankful that I have become well versed in many areas, therefore making me able to present a multitude of options. I have done my best to keep clinic pricing as affordable as I can as I believe that education needs to be kept as accessible as possible for any budget and rider.
If you are interested in any of these clinics please do not hesitate to reach out and we will get one set up at your location or mine!

I figured with a new year I should post a new introduction of myself as I have a new introduction of myself!

Hey there! My name is Tyler.
I am the owner, operator, head trainer/coach of TS Training Services. I started this business back in 2018 as a young 16 year old. At the time, I had been working among many trainers and coaches to expand my knowledge and skillset in the industry. In 2018 I had been asked many times if I would be interested in taking a horse or two from many people, so I decided to throw my hat in the ring.
Opening my books in 2018 to c**t starting, taking one horse a month - progressing to 2-4 a month from then on.
In 2020 I was presented the unique opportunity to move to a new facility and manage said facility. Here, my business faced immense growth and new opportunity. In 2020 I was also lucky enough to be chosen as one of the Equi-Health Canada instructor certification scholarship winners. By 2021, I was consistently booking 10-12 training horses per month and had opened a small scale riding lesson program. COVID hit therefore teaching first aid was off the table, but the business and myself continued to grow and develop.

In the fall of 2021 I got myself in a pretty bad wreck involving a c**t - I had come off of him backwards and was left unconscious and incoherent. I suffered a severe concussion and broken ribs among a few other things. Post accident, I found myself lacking my old confidence, the grittiness that made me want to get on anything no matter how bad and laugh it out. Some would call this self preservation ;) I continued to accept training horses but on a smaller scale so that I could take some extra time with them to ensure the job was getting done. I then started to take some more time focusing on building up my lesson program as I had found a lot of enjoyment from teaching.

Fast forward to 2023, I had become extremely picky on the horses I would take for training as I needed to give myself a bit of a break. Unfortunately even though it was proclaimed many times that I was not taking problem horses or anything less than broke - honesty can be hard to come by and I found myself extremely hurt again from a horse I was promised didn't have an ounce of poor behavior. I then decided that I needed to step out of the training ring and access who I was as a trainer as I was about to put out the spark that I once had. I did not stop training at this time, as we still have a band of young horses at home. I took a step away from the public training world and decided to invest in my knowledge and skill even further. This was the time I really buckled down and worked away at developing my lesson program and first aid bookings.

In the fall of 2024 I decided that adding on my Canine Health Canada instructor certification was a must - so that I did. Anyone who knows me knows that anything with fur and 4 legs is my heart and soul - I have always been an animal lover through and through.

What started as a small scale training program, transformed in to me having a lesson program of 50+ people varying from beginner to intermediate, a lease program, competitive show team, running a western lesson program for another program, owning 6 incredible lesson horses, teaching first aid almost once a weekend and MORE on the way this year.
I am starting to find myself again when it comes to training and am excited to be reopening my doors to training horses - this time with a lot more requirements from owners so that I can make sure I protect my own flame this time.

I am living my dream life, doing things that the little girl version of me would never believe. My priority is my horses and I strive daily to ensure that I am doing my best to provide them anything and everything they may need, to ensure they have the best lives possible.

My programs have been reformatted over the years to ensure that rider safety, horse care, and proper teaching techniques are being implemented no matter where I go. This year I am thrilled to bring new concepts of positive energy and mindset manifestation to my programs to encourage as must growth from both human and horse as possible.

Thank you all for being a part of my journey. This page used to be a whole lot bigger but Facebook decided to delete my original page last year so we are still getting back there. I appreciate and love you all, stay tuned for exciting announcements coming this year.

XOXO, Tyler

💥For Sale💥

Coming 3 year old AQHA papered mare.
84.39% FQHA tested.

“Maye” is as sweet as they come. Full of huge personality and a kind eye - she is bound to make someone the perfect all around horse.
Yet to measure but likely sitting around that 14.00HH mark.

Only reason is she is a bit smaller and fine b***d than we like for our mares. We will 100% regret selling this girl - our loss is your gain.

•Purchased directly out of the 2023 Lone Ridge Quarter Horse Sale at 3 months of age.
•Handled extensively since 3 months old.
•Blanketed since 3 months of age (not required for her, is a personal choice).
•Stands like an old pro for farrier, super solid feet.
•Was shown lightly in hand the summer of 2024 and did excellently.
•Easy to catch off of pasture - comes trotting to the gate when called.
•Loads like a dream and travels well.
•Has been over obstacles and has a super open mind to new concepts. SUPER fast learner.

We own a cousin to this mare and have nothing but great things to say. Super reliable and trusting mares.

She can be boarded her after purchase if needed. For an extra cost she can stay until spring and I’ll put a light start on her. This can be negotiated at time of purchase.

Asking 🤚🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 (as is, no additional board or training). Not willing to negotiate much lower, she is a quality bred and trained horse therefore her price reflects that.

Had the best day yesterday up in Lloydminister, Saskatchewan.

These kiddos came far and wide from varying Alberta and Saskatchewan pony clubs just to experience our Equine Health and Emergency First Aid course. Thank you to you guys for coming!
I have never taught a course in this extreme cold so making new plans as we went was critical. Thankfully the neighbors had a heated barn that they willingly let us borrow so that we could defrost and focus better for the hands on portion. Thanks Mother Nature for being angry, lol!

Hereditary equine regional dermal asthenia (HERDA), also known as hyperelastosis cutis (HC), is an inherited connective tissue disorder. It weakens the collagen fibers that holds the skin of the horse onto the rest of the animal. Affected horses have extremely fragile skin that tears easily and does not heal well. There is no cure. Most affected individuals receive an injury and cannot heal, and are euthanized. Many injuries occur from day to day activities such as riding the horse, driving the horse, and horses playing in the field with each other. The skin is so fragile that the saddle can rip it from the underlying tissue. Managed breeding strategy is currently the only option for reducing the incidence of the disease.

The disease is found primarily in the American Quarter Horse, specifically in cutting horse lines. Affected horses have been found to trace to the stallion Poco Bueno, or possibly, farther back to one of his ancestors. Researchers have now named four deceased Quarter Horse stallions that were carriers and produced at least one affacted HERDA foal; they are Dry Doc, Doc O'Lena, Great Pine, and Zippo Pine Bar. These stallions all trace to Poco Bueno through his son and daughter Poco Pine and Poco Lena. Other breeds affected are the American Paint Horse (APHA), and the Appaloosa (ApHC) and any other breed registry that allows outcrossing to AQHA horses. There are DNA tests available to determine if horses are negative, a carrier, or affected. It is highly recommended that breeding pairs have this genetic test to avoiding mating carriers to each other.

Exciting news!
My message inbox is getting bombarded with inquiries regarding the matter of if I will be running kids camps this year!
Last year it was a no as for once I allowed my personal life to take priority for a few weeks and I just did not have time.
This year, most of my time is still focused on lessons and first aid courses BUT I have decided to offer a few dates and times!

Attempting to keep this as fun yet affordable as I can, I hope to see a few of you there!
There is a limit of 5 kids/teens per group per camp so speak now!
Offering specifically kids camps, and specifically teen camps I hope to meet the needs of all inquiries I am receiving!

Shoot me an email to register or inquire.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to welcome this sweet mare to our lesson program!
This sweet gal is named Chick and has joined our permanent string of lesson horses. With her first night of lessons kicking off last night she is already fitting in absolutely perfectly.
So thankful to have the opportunity to add yet another lovely lesson horse on. She is in need of some TS TLC but give me a few weeks to get her down a few pounds, building some muscle, a clip and she’ll look like she belongs. 🩵

A few important tips to keep in mind when sharing the roads with horse trailer/livestock trailer hauling units.

All too often people are impatient, unsafe, and inconsiderate when it comes to sharing the road with us to let’s share to help spread positive, correct information. 🤗

4 years ago today I lost my soul horse. If you have lost your soul horse, you will know the feeling. I have lost horses and watched others be lost many times as that is a part of my role in the industry. Losing a horse of any kind takes a toll but losing your soul horse is like no other.

The mare that started me in to this industry.
The mare who taught me everything I know, and gave me the grace to learn it.
She was more than I deserved and without her I likely would not be who I am today.
I would give all of me to bring her back, I wish my lesson kids could have experienced her graciousness for a year or two.

This red head took a big piece of my heart with her that I will never patch. Losing her was one of the hardest moments of my life and a pain that is like no other.

Forever missed and eternally grateful for everything this mare gave me.
I have a few other 4 legged friends up there with her now, one being a little red headed filly that I lost during birth from another mare just a few days after I lost this pretty girl. That on top of the loss of my girl was a detrimental time in my life but looking now they were meant to be together. The red heads are a tender spot for me, last year I was finally okay enough to purchase one and she is so much like this girl I know that she is sent down here from above, and she will do all that Kit did for me. Every time I spend time with her in the pasture she heals a little bit of that separation.
The other red head that I have been lucky enough to call my own is a sweet old lesson gelding, that is so similar to her as well. These two have filled her boots so fully that I’m not sure I’ll be able to compare that feeling when they are gone, for now chestnuts are a colour we don’t like to look for as it has had its special spot that feels so odd to replace in a way.

Miss you forever old lady. 🩵

Interesting read!
We have a retired mare struggling more this winter with her feet, with some corrective work we will be getting her feeling better but I will definitely be wrapping her legs once we hit cold weather again to see if that helps her!
