Epic K9s Pool and Event Farm

Lola hit another new personal best last night and is now part of the 25ft (plus ?) club 🙌🤩💦 The beginning of this season we were trying to get her past 20ft…. Kevin has been to class every week, and we have been videoing and reviewing the timing of his throw and her striding . I’ll never let anyone tell me there aren’t proper foundations required to teach Dock 😃 So proud of this team❤️ #lolatheunicorn🦄🤎

Finally had some time to catch up and reflect on the amazing time we had at the first official Cattle Dog Fun Day! Meeting new faces, seeing talented dogs, and connecting with lovely people was a memorable experience. I love seeing the progress and help the teams gain confidence and improve in all the dogs- beginners or active competitors. Huge thanks to Lorraine Norris for organizing the event and for all her support. Looking forward to seeing everyone again next year I hope 😉 💦🐶☀️ Special appearance from Elvis and his wonderful wife Gladys was the icing on the cake! We also helped raise almost $700 for the @thekibbleproject which is a wonderful nonprofit organization run by Gladys 🐾🐶

Introducing Goldie to the foundations of “track the toy “ Not all dogs naturally track the toy and have “pop” off the dock and she is one of them! I know she has potential to do the ”chase method” so I will work hard until she has success ! For now, I work dock confidence, just building speed and fun for the toy and jumping off and then work some ramp foundations separately .

Working on the timing of your throw for the “chase method” can be tricky! I love using video to help analyze how to improve timing and the throw . This was a huge improvement for this team, with some minor tweaking . Cant wait to see them again next week! 💦🐾
