Our staff consists of our office manager Kim, 2 Veterinary Technicians Michelle, Taylor, Tiffani, and Hannah. Veterinary Assistants Lori, Sam, Ashley and Paige. Our practice is open from Mon

day to Friday 8am until 8pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. We have the ability to treat cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, Amphibians, ferrets - and Rabbits & small pocket pets (only with Dr. Marriott). We love them all! - including snakes, bearded dragons, and geckos. We have a surgical as well as a therapeutic laser. Our surgical laser replaces the scalpel blade. It seals as it cuts and reduces the amount of healing time. It decreases the amount of bleeding, swelling and discomfort associated with surgery. The therapeutic laser is a non-medicine way of helping the body to heal wounds, ear infections and general skin infections, relieve discomfort from arthritis, degenerative disk disease, cystitis (inflammation of the bladder), sprains and strains. Please this group is not to ask or give any type of medical advice for your pets. If you have a medical related question please call our clinic and one of the staff members will be happy to help! Please post pictures (which may end up on our website), thoughts, ideas, stories etc.

When your dog's dental health is neglected, there's a significant risk of developing gum disease, which can progress to periodontal disease. If bacteremia occurs, bacteria from the infected gums can enter the bloodstream and spread to other organs, including the heart. Over time, this can damage the heart's structure and function, potentially leading to heart disease. Maintaining your dog's dental health and other health efforts is a vital step in protecting your dog's heart health. Contact us at 902-835-2223 to evaluate your dog's dental health!

With the busy pace of life, our dogs can't always be with us. We often have to leave them at home and return to them later. As a result, some pets may develop separation anxiety. Fortunately, there are effective ways to help them overcome this. You can train them to understand that you'll be back soon and that there's no need to worry. Techniques like counter-conditioning, gradual desensitization, increasing physical stimulation, and creating a safe space can help. If you need more guidance, please call us at 902-835-2223.

Different breeds of cats mature at slightly different rates. Depending on your kitten's breed, it might take them somewhat longer to mature. Maine C***s, for example, aren't considered mature until about 3 or 4 years old. Some cats never even really outgrow their kitten phase! Looking for more fun facts about your cat? Follow us for more. Oftentimes, we see our cute cats twirling, but what does it mean? It can signify several things. They could be being playful, following a hunting instinct, showing excitement, or, in rare cases, it could indicate a medical issue or be caused by disorientation. However, in most cases, this is normal behavior. Always remember to monitor your cat's behavior to ensure they're in tip-top shape and not in distress. If unsure, we're here to help - call 902-835-2223.

Poor nutrition can significantly impact your dog's heart and overall health. A poor diet can lead to obesity, high cholesterol, and increased inflammation, all of which strain your dog's heart. A diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants can help protect the heart and prevent heart disease and other health issues. We highly recommend contacting us at 902-835-2223 so we can guide you in choosing high-quality food that meets your dog's specific needs.
