PAWpular PAWs Certified professional pet grooming, doggie daycare and more! In the fall of 2020 we relocated our home to a bigger space in order to expand our services.

Pawpular Paws is a luxurious pet facility established in 2015 and located in the heart of beautiful Belle River. We currently offer professional pet grooming and are in the process of opening our very own doggie daycare! We are excited to announce these new services coming soon!

Owner Charlie Harding is a life-long animal lover and pet parent. Growing up on a hobby farm, she has cared for many

different types of animals from horses and goats, to chickens and ducks, and everything in between. She is always first to volunteer her knowledge and experience for any animal in need! She has two beautiful dogs of her own, a Great Pyrenees named Dexter and an English Springer Spaniel named Myah. You will likely spot Myah and Dexter around the shop when you visit!

Charlie always knew her future would involve animal care. She attended Pets Beautiful School of Styling in 2013. When graduating, she received special recognition for her extraordinary performance obtaining 90%+ grades, A+ status. In June of 2015 she opened the doors to her very first pet grooming salon! In 2017, Charlie received her certification for Pet CPR and First Aid. She always takes the extra step to ensure every pet is safe, comfortable, and happy. Charlie strives to provide impressive work and outstanding customer service to ensure her clients and their beloved pets have the best possible experience during their visit!

As we return back tomorrow from our much needed Christmas break, we wanted to highlight a few things!
Daycare will resume regular hours starting tomorrow (Monday January 6th)
All unused daycare credits from 2024 will roll over to 2025 :)
We appreciate everyone's support and understanding with the little jump scare a couple of weeks ago. We're hoping everyone took the time to educate themselves on the importance of yearly vaccines and keeping your dogs protected. We also would like to note that the puppy is doing very well, home and healthy, and we have had no other cases. Which further supports the importance of your puppies vaccines to their overall protection!

We are BLESSED to be able to offer a safe gathering place for your dogs to play, socialize, learn, and ultimately build bonds with other dogs doing doggie things as doggies should! This is why we take every protocol and experience seriously and are always growing forward. Heading into 2025 we may ask you to bring in an updated proof of vaccinations for our records and will be rechecking files to make sure no information has slipped through the cracks. Please bear with us and provide yourself a little extra time at check in for administrative updates if advised.

I also wanted to make a quick comment regarding our grooming clientele. We have had some people upset regarding our need to reduce our clientele. Pawpular Paws has been in operation for 10 years now and we are over the moon about the amazing dogs and people we've been able to service. However, there are a lot more dogs out there than there are groomers. We have gone from 4 groomers down to 2 groomers with completely full schedules. It would be crazy to assume that we could continue to accommodate everyone. As we are always keeping our doors open for the possibility of a new teammate, we are also very picky about who we bring on. Making sure they are the right fit and that is not taken lightly. So until then, our hands are tied. We will continue to do our best, and we greatly appreciate those who understand and those who appreciate us in return! We see you 😉

UPDATE* After over night medical attention at the veterinarian the pup has significantly improved, and is now home and on his way to a full recovery 🙏❤️

We are sad to inform you that the Canine Parvovirus outbreak seen recently with cases in Windsor has reached Belle River. We have received news that a dog who has visited our facility has tested positive for Parvovirus and therefore we will be following strict protocols.
After speaking with our trusted veterinarian, we have been advised of a few details you should note.
Unfortunately, the virus can survive on surfaces for months indoors and outdoors. It can be carried on shoes and be in all common areas, including walking paths, dog facilities, dog parks etc. Basically anywhere other dogs frequent.
Therefore as we have had a confirmed case, any dog that has entered our facility is at risk. We have attempted to inform all customers who have visited us this week, informed our local veterinarians and local daycares as well. Our shop has closed down for the day and is being THOUROUGHLY disinfected top to bottom. Veterinarians are continuing to say there should be little to no concern if your dog is vaccinated and healthy. Puppies, elderly, immune compromised, and unvaccinated dogs are at hightened risk and should be monitored for symptoms. Symptoms can present as, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, dehydration, abdominal pain, and low body temp. Although Vaccinated dogs have a reduced risk of contracting and spreading diseases like parvo or distemper, transmission is still possible.
We are doing our absolute best to keep all of you informed and being strict to follow every protocol. Once our shop is disinfected we will reopen and resume business but monitoring your pets and keeping them safe is a group effort. Please do your part. If you have concerns or want to take extra precautions please speak with your veterinarian. Our number one priority is keeping all of our dogs safe so we have tried to provide you with as much information as we can. Please understand we are in communication with hundreds of customers so we may not be able to respond promptly. We are overwhelmed with the day and are hoping everyone can understand ❤️
