Limited time spots each week
Why do we work so much on the emergency down? Because it saves lives. We want to practice it in different environments. Coming to us AND going away from us. This part (both directions), is crucial. In all types of weather too. When out and about, practice in organic situations during play and long line/off leash sessions.
Registration is now open for Advanced group class! Only two spots left!!
This class is a 6 week program and will start Tuesday June 11th at 10am. Please note that the first 3 lessons will be held at my facility but the last 3 will be held in a higher distracting setting. This location will be determined closer to the date.
Dates for an evening class are coming!
Week 5 is when things start to come together!
When you are 9 months old and already know your emergency down 🥰 if you have been on the fence about what intermediate group class has to offer, here is just one of the results.
What happens when you continue to practice your loose leash walking skills? Well, this is what happens! Your dog learns to make good choices, respond to the slightest engagement of the leash (in this video it was the leash lifting off the ground), and chooses to be engaged with you. You may notice he is in a prong collar but that there is not once any pressure on it. So why does he wear it? Well, we live in an area where off leash dogs are prevalent and so are people assuming they should pet your dog just because it is in public. As he can become very over stimulated in these situations and is quite strong, he wears his prong along with his do not pet tag on his collar to help manage these encounters and prevent them from becoming a source of self rewarding for behaviour I do not want to see.
