Frankie's Next Adoptable Friend is Fergie and the rescue that we are spotlighting is From Forgotten to Forever Rescue 🐾 Fergie is a 1 year old and weighs in at a solid 62 lbs. We don't think she'll get much bigger. Originally hailing from Roswell, NM, Fergie and her siblings arrived here with minimal socialization skills. Fergie is currently in foster with multiple dogs and is doing excellent learning new skills from them and her foster. Initially, she can present as shy or timid, but she warms up with a few treats, a doggie buddy nearby, and patience from her person. Her foster says Fergie can be quite goofy too and it's been fun to watch her evolve and blossom. She does love having another dog around so much that another friendly dog is required in Fergie's new home. She's very playful and interested in following her fur buddies around. She's a quick learner, eager to please, and is waiting for the right family to continue to show her how exciting new adventures can be. Fergie is potty trained, crate-trained and is great on the leash. She loves to find a cozy spot or sunny spot for naps. As a medium-energy pup, Fergie is equally happy cuddling up at home, romping around in a yard, or exploring the great outdoors on hikes and nature walks. Fergie's ideal home would be with a fun family, with another dog, and in a somewhat quieter home that will give her time to adjust to new things. Overall, she's a really easy going and wonderful dog. Tye is a true cuddle bug who absolutely loves snuggling up with his humans. He's mastered the art of balancing playtime and relaxation, making him the perfect companion for any occasion. Whether it's a playful romp or a lazy afternoon nap, Tye knows just how to adapt. Tye gets along wonderfully with new people, and both cats and other dogs, showcasing his friendly and easy-going nature. Tye is also potty trained and is impressively learning to use bells to let you know when he needs to go outside. Tye came to use as a medical surrender at 4 weeks old, they weren’t sure if he would make it but he beat all odds and has no medical problems sees and hears perfectly he just has a scar indentation that makes his eye a tad smaller. Frankie's next Adoptable Friend is Hart from Phoenix Dog Rescue in Philadelphia, PA 🐾 This handsome fellow is 6 years old. He was reported to be a standard poodle by his Lancaster breeder. They were downsizing and asked us to take him on. He is 83 lbs. Despite spending a lifetime being used as nothing more than a stud, Hart is a good boy. He came to the rescue shy but has been excellent and opening up so great! He is now a happy, fun-loving boy. We had no issues handling. He does pretty well on the leash and listens to his volunteers nicely. He will make one family very lucky. We all love him very much here. He would need to meet any resident dogs. He will come neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and 4dx tested. Frankie's next Adoptable Friend is Coal from Lucky Dog Refuge CT 🐾 Meet Coal the amazing German Shepherd rescued from Mississippi. Coal was tied to a porch and left to fend for himself when his owners moved and left him behind. One of our rescuers heard about him and went to start feeding and giving him water. Coal was boarded at a clinic in Mississippi where he began to learn that he was cared for, food was never going to be a worry again, and that he would never have to live on a chain again. Fast forward a year and he is thriving with us at Lucky Dog. He has received the full heartworm treatment according to the American Heartworm Society protocol and is now off of his exercise restriction. Those nasty heartworms are also a thing of the past. Coal loves playing fetch, going in our pools on the turf, and his walks. Coal is not dog friendly and requires an only pet home to enjoy his senior years with a responsible breed experienced owner(s). Coal is a goofy boy very true to the German Shepherd Dog breed characteristics. PLEASE have breed experience before applying for Coal, it is a necessary part of his adoption. Thank you so much for reading out Coal, we cannot wait to find his furever home.

The next of Frankie's Adoptable Friends is Bolt and Royal Animal Refuge in Georgia 🐾 Bolt is a 4 year old American Bulldog mix who has been with our rescue for 740 days. He was originally found as a stray with a stick lodged in his mouth, BB gun wounds, and a severe eye infection. After going through multiple surgeries and receiving extensive medical care, Bolt has shown us that he is a true survivor. Over the time he has shown us that he really is a good boy. He is happy going on adventures, long runs or just hanging out in the backyard on a pretty day and laying on the couch. In the midst of all the barking dogs he is the quiet one patiently waiting for his turn to find a forever home. The 1st of Frankie's Adoptable Friends in September is Levi 🐾 Levi is 2 yrs 10 months old and he has been at the PAWS - Pet Animal Welfare Society of Norwalk, Connecticut shelter located at 504 Main Avenue Norwalk, CT 06851 for 818 days. Levi has been at PAWS way too long! His ideal family would be a couple or single person with no children in the home where Levi can decompress without being too overwhelmed. He loves to go on hikes, swimming and play ball and would make a wonderful active companion. He has had small play groupings with female dogs. We think would do best as the only dog in the home, however. He is an amazing dog, but he requires real structure for his resource guarding. Levi has taken group dog training classes.

Frankie's next Adoptable Friend is Lulah! 🐾 Loveable Lulah is such a hoot, she is super playful and fun!! This 4 year old wiggly pittie mix just wants to cuddle and be loved! She’s a fun, affectionate, playful gal and walks well on a leash, too! Lulah was a recent ambassador to a local nursing home with our volunteers and she was described as one of the BEST dogs that they have ever taken to visit. She was amazing, loving, and gentle with everyone she met. She’s truly good with people of all ages. She was not phased by wheelchairs or groups of people. Just absolutely a wonderful love!

“Lulah is nonstop happy. We love spending time with her!”

No appointment is necessary to adopt. Our business hours are 11am - 4:30pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will not be accepted in advance. If you have dogs and/or kids in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested. Hey People please share!
As you know last year my son Mitchell and I went to the village of Sawani,Fiji to help build a Community Building. We had many who helped make that trip possible and we seen lives affected by our work. The experience for Mitchell was life changing. We were excited to gift a family with a Stihl Robotic Lawnmower for their home.
This year we are going to work in Guatemala in an Orphanage. Mitchell and I want to do more than just labour, we want to make a difference.
We have purchased 240 eye glass frames, 400 prescription lenses and the tools to allow the orphanage to test and make custom eye glasses right at the Orphanage for children who need them.
How can you help? We are fundraising again. we will be gifting 3 lucky supporters with some terrific gifts.
