Over the last few weeks we have eaten several tomatoes that were basement grown. We have also transplanted some out into the greenhouse.

The tomatoes were smallish, but tasty and let's face it, any homegrown tomato in April/May is a win.

Considering how cheap the LEDs were this experiment has been a great success.

The next logical step is solar powering the LEDs and perhaps supplementing these cheap LEDs with some used grow light LEDs

Had the first fresh grown basement tomato of the year last week. These were started in the basement and moved into the green house a week and half back.

We need to fine tune it so the plants don't take such a beating but I'd call this a success.

Growing them under low power LEDs means we can grow them using a couple of used solar panels....or at least I think I can. We will find out.

Working on this old sink trying to strip the years of abuse off it.

A sink like this retails for $2500 and this one appears to have been in excellent condition before it was turned into a slop sink.

Just a word to the wise for others, a stainless sink makes a far better slop sink, costs next to nothing and will be missed by no one at the end of its life.

This is going to look amazing restored and will be the sink for the 2nd flr laundry/bathroom and will sit between the washer and dryer.

Pretty much over the flue, there is a week of my life gone, so I thought I'd put an hour in in the beam.

I've thought of better ways to do this but I'm committed to this method at this point.

Lot of work for one person, especially one that is to lazy to clear the work space before starting.😆

So this look heavy but how else can you repair a 100 plus year old shop but with a 150 plus
year old wooden beam?
