We are a premium dog kennel facility located in the heart of the prairies near Blackie, Alberta. Michelle Birch is the owner of Living Prairie K9 Solutions (formerly known as Country Cuts and Kennels). Michelle and her husband, Chris, along with their two children have lived on the land with a wide variety of animals for the past 18 years. It began in 2007, when Michelle started to offer grooming

services. It quickly became very successful, and in 2013 she expanded to include a kennel to offer boarding, daycare, puppy training, and in 2022 she started offering puppy temperament testing. At Living Prairie K9 Solutions, your dog is treated like a member of our family! Michelle has always been passionate about working with animals and enjoys being active in her local community. Living Prairie K9 Solutions is proud to offer a wide variety of services for your furry family member! We offer Puppy Training for puppies in our Puppy Boot Camp program (8 weeks-4 months old) and our Junior Academy program (5-12 months old). Your puppy will come and stay with us for a short duration to participate in a variety of activities designed to help them socialize and learn proper behavior. This includes a basic training package designed to set your puppy up for success in your home. We also offer in-home and phone consultations. Your dog will enjoy staying with us in our premium dog kennel facility! With our overnight boarding, all of our guests are taken for several walks each day, so they get plenty of exercise and socialization. We offer monthly boarding rates and a bath and blow dry service for a small additional fee. Our daycare program is very popular and currently full. Doggy Daycare gives your dog plenty of exercise and socialization, so they are tired by the time they come home. New in 2022, we now offer Puppy Temperament Testing. Testing helps to understand the individual needs each puppy has and helps match the puppy with the perfect owner. This test will give the new owner the tools to make a great dog and helps ensure your new puppy is a good fit for your lifestyle. We also offer this service to breeders who want someone to test their puppies and allocate them to their new families. Also available for therapy dog prospects. All aboard the🎄 "Holiday Express" 🚌 with my Therapy Tails Level 2 students. Despite having a terrible driver (me!) with the most erratic and unreasonable rules (lol!), these students were truly the best passengers I could have hoped for.

The CHICKS have arrived!! We add garlic, apple cider vinegar and oil of oregano to the first water and this boosts their immune system. We make a mash with the all organic feed we get from @takotacoen at Coen farms. All the chicks get placed into their individual pens and then we watch them grow. The mixed Heritage breed layer package chicks will grow and start laying in 6-7 months. The Western Rustic chicks will grow for 10-12 weeks and then be butchered and weigh about 5-6ib to put in the freezer. The Orlopp Bronze Turkeys will grow to 20-25ib just in time to go on the table by Thanksgiving. GOOD DOG CHRONICLE Jessie is 5 months old Leave it is an important command especially at this age where she is exploring the world with her mouth. If I drop something that she shouldn't have I tell her Leave it and when she does I ask for a sit and give her lots of praise. When Jessie steals something like a sock and runs around me with it I don't make a big deal or try to take it away from her. I get one of her toys instead and start playing with it. Then when she comes over to check it out I give it to her and while she's playing with the toy I retrieve the sock. . . . Gertie and her kids are looking for a new family to entertain and give her milk 🥛 to. Gertie is an excellent milker and super easy to handle. From here on she will milk out 600-700ml per day for the next 8-9 months. This milk does not have the distinct goat taste at all it tastes like cows milk! Yummy! You can have your own milk and make butter, cheese and ice cream. The kids are a buckling and a doeling that where born on April 11th. They are very friendly, cuddly and so entertaining to watch as the bounce around. They will make excellent pets! GOOD DOG CHRONICLE... this is how I feed lunch. After lunch we go for 10-15min walk and make sure Jessie goes potty while we are out there. Once we get back she's pretty tired from the brainwork of lunch and the walk and it's the perfect time to have a nap in her crate and I can go about doing some stuff for about 2h. She is now 10 weeks old and as a rule of thumb they can hold their bladder for 1hr for each month of age. . . . #brainwork #enjoylife #healthylifestyle #prairiedoodles #tlcdogfood
