Meet Banks!

Banks is one of three Border Collies that we have in daycare! We find, particularly with this breed, that they instinctually like to herd the group 🤣 Every daycare dog receives a 10 minute structured pack walk before they enter the play zone. However, we find with some of the higher energy/herding breeds like Collies, Shepherds etc. they also need a 10 minute structured game of fetch or tug. Ensuring they get their breed specific drive out in a healthy way, makes it easier to integrate them into the group after. This is one of the many ways we individualize the day based on each dog's needs and desires! Banks really enjoys the one-on-one fetch with staff before joining the play zone!

Meet Winston!

We see Winston a few times a week. When he first started coming to Clearspring Kennels he was a little shy of the staff and other dogs, but quickly blossomed into the social butterfly he is today! When he isn't getting snuggles from the staff you can find him running circles around the daycare yard! Despite having one shorter back leg, he runs FAST. He loves all dogs, but his daycare best friends are Allan, and another beagle named Molly! It has been so rewarding to watch you break out of your shell Winston! 🥰

THIS MONTH'S NEW DAYCARE ARRIVALS!

We've added a few new faces to our daycare pack this past month!

Lucy - Lucy is just over a year old and still has that puppy energy! She sometimes forgets how big she is 🤣 She's such a sweetheart though 🩷

Koda - Koda is the newest addition to our pack and he has been an easy dog to integrate! He listens exceptionally well and has such a nice personality 💙

Buddy - Buddy is the epitome of the happy-go-lucky Golden! He was shy at first but has really gained some confidence since attending daycare. He LOVES other dogs and is always so happy to be here! 💚

Oliver - Oliver is one of the youngest pups we have in our daycare right now! At just under 6 months old, he has been very busy learning how to be a part of the pack! He is learning fast though - he is as smart as he is cute! ❤

About 25% of the dogs that come to Clearspring Kennels for daycare are Doodles! They enjoy sticking together and sometimes, it's hard to tell them apart! In this photo, starting from left to right we have Ginny, Romeo, Otis and Piper! 🩷

Meet Juno!

Juno just turned 2 years old last Thursday! Juno is very dog selective and only enjoys a few friends. We understand that each dog that comes to our daycare is unique, and we like to individualize every day for each dog to ensure everyone is comfortable and having a good time! Some of our dogs enjoy wrestling and running around, others enjoy a softer play style and there are a select few that prefer just watching from the sidelines! Juno prefers to spend time with the daycare staff when he is here and loves a good game of fetch or obedience work. He is super smart and listens very well! Plus, he's incredibly handsome 😍

Meet Stella!

Stella started coming to Clearspring Kennels about a year ago! When she first started coming she was struggling in some areas that made it hard to integrate her into our daycare pack. We suggested a Board & Train K9 Academy so that Stella could learn some new skills to help her become the dog we knew she could be! Since attending the program Stella has been doing AMAZING! She is now fully integrated into our pack and is such a well behaved girl. We are so proud of you Stella. ❤️

GUESS THE BREED!

This cutie's name is Stormy and she is one of the newer additions to our daycare! Can anyone guess her breed?
Hint: Because of the shape of their larynx, this breed doesn't bark like a normal dog!

Meet Xena!

Xena has been coming to Clearspring for a couple of years now! We see her a few times a month and she always brings a nice balanced energy to our pack. Xena listens exceptionally well to staff and is a staff go to for new assessment dogs! She loves going for pack walks and has amazing leash manners. We are always excited to see her cute face walk through the door! 😊

Fynn LOVED playing fetch for his play time!

A great add on to any boarding stay is a 15 or 30 minute playtime. Play times are done one-on-one with one of our trained staff members and we personalize the play time to what the dog enjoys. Some examples of play times are a game of tug, an enrichment toy, a structured walk or even a snuggle! After play times dogs are more relaxed in their kennels and they form a deeper bond with us, easing anxiety. Plus the staff love doing them too so it's a win-win 😉

Meet staff dog Jack!

Jack is Jolene's second dog. Jack is still a young pup, but with his low-key, calm demeanor you wouldn't know it! He turns 1 years old in May and has been learning a lot from his older brother Odis. Because of his white coat, Jolene likes to practice her dying skills (with pet safe dye of course!). One day for daycare Jack showed up with a hot pink tail! No matter what color his tail is, he always comes in looking handsome 😍

Meet the staff dog Monday!

Odis belongs to Jolene, our groomer! He is a 2 year old Great Pyrenes mix. He is a very relaxed and gentle giant. When he attends daycare he gets along well with everyone! He has been very busy at home teaching his new little brother Jack how to be a cool dog like him 😎

Meet Otis!

We love seeing Otis 2-3 times per week! He used to like to talk a lot, but since adding a little more structure to our daycare he has been doing AMAZING. One of the best loose leash walkers on our pack walks, he has now learned how to settle on his own and no longer feels the need to tell us everything. 🤣 Otis is a prime example of how a little bit of structure can do wonders for a dog! Good boy Otis, we are so proud of you! 🥰

Meet staff dog Knox!

Knox is Allisyn's third dog. He was recused from at 6 months old. He just had his 1st birthday on April 6th! Knox is a German Shepherd/Husky cross. He absolutely adores his sister Luna and tolerates his brother Oz. He has been very busy training and learning with his mom and has such great manners for a young pup! He attends daycare with his sister Luna, once a week. Welcome to the pack Knox 💙

Meet Jett!

Jett is one of the many OG dogs who have been with us since the very beginning! Jett usually attends daycare at least three times a week and loves it. He is such a good boy and is very popular with the ladies! When he isn't playing with his friends, he settles on his own, on one of the available beds for a nap. A staple here at Clearspring Kennels, we couldn't imagine daycare without him! 🥰

Meet staff dog Luna!

Luna is the second of Allisyn's dogs. She was a rescue dog from when she was staying here at Clearspring Kennels. She had been here for a month, allowing Allisyn the chance to really get to know her from watching her in daycare. Eventually Allisyn decided to add her to her home - I mean how can you resist such a cute face!? Luna will be three this year and loves going on hikes and bike rides and continues to attend daycare once a week! Luna's breed is unknown, can anyone guess which breed(s) she might be!?

Check out this cutie 😍

This is Pepper - she was in recently for her first ever groom and she was such a pro! Her original coat was a lot darker than the hair she had underneath. Did you know that puppy fur continuously fades in color until they are about 1 years old? We are excited to watch this girl grow and continue to help her have a relaxing grooming experience!

Meet staff dog Oz!

Oz is the oldest of Allisyn's dogs, he is 11 years old this year. Allisyn has had him since he was just 6 months old! He is a 120lbs German Shepherd. He is not a fan of other dogs (except his siblings of course!) so prefers 30 minute playtimes with our staff when he boards with us. He loves when all attention is on him! Otherwise he just prefers a good nap - being this handsome is very tiring!

Meet Charlie!

Charlie is our honorary Clearspring Kennels dog. Charlie stays with us often, sometimes for long periods of time. She absolutely LOVES it here, and will run right up to us and straight into her kennel when she comes (yes, she has her very own kennel!). You may recognize Charlie from the video on our website where she shows what it's like to board with us. While Charlie is boarding, she goes to daycare twice a week. She is our happy go lucky girl and always brings a smile to our faces. Clearspring Kennels wouldn't be the same without her ❤

Meet Ozzie!

Ozzie comes to daycare every Tuesday! He has the cutest little tail wiggles and enjoys keeping us on our toes! Ozzie just stayed with us while his mom was away and he did SO good while he was here. We find that because of the already established bond, our daycare dogs are always more comfortable boarding with us, and they thrive off of our daily structure and routine. We love the bonds we share with our daycare dogs and are so happy they feel so comfortable with us ❤

Meet staff dog Sheikah!

Sheikah is the second of Katia's dogs. Sheikah is a Siberian Husky and was part of a sled dog pack when Katia got her. She continues to enjoy sledding with her brother, who she absolutely adores and will follow anywhere! She also loves to do the classic husky howl when her people come home. Her picture is quite accurate - she is as soft as a cloud and as cute as a button!

Meet staff dog Odin!

Odin is one of Katia's dogs. He is a working Siberian Husky and helps his mom train other dogs and their humans. He loves having a job to do and is always looking to Katia to tell him what to do next! He loves his sister Sheikah and can be found sledding with her in the winter and going on runs in the summer! Isn't he so handsome!? Don't let that handsome face fool you, he can be stubborn and likes to talk back sometimes! We still love him though ❤️
