has been going well! We're sitting around 200%, a little lower than we were expecting but only 3 lambs on the milk machine so I'm not complaining! Only 5 ewes left to go.
And we had a sweet bull calf about a week ago ❤

They don't come any cuter than this!! This little girl looks like some paint was spilled on her. She was part of our first litter of quads.

Those faces 😍 I'm not sure if Spark's ear is going to stand up fully but she's adorable regardless! And Pippin melts my heart with his snuggles. Love these 2 ❤

Not the best day to start lambing 2024! -44°C made for some lambcicles 🥶 No losses but a hypothermic lamb and some frozen ears so far. At least school was cancelled so the girls were home to help!
We use fleece lamb coats and it makes a big difference. It rapidly wicks moisture away from the lamb allowing it to dry faster. They wash easy are cheap to make.

We started lambing on Christmas Eve with 6 ewes and 12 lambs. Due date is January 17th 🤔 The only explanation I can think of is a 3 month old ram lamb accidently went out with the big group of ewes on pasture.
The rest are looking chonky and full of lambs 🤞

Maybel, our jersey, had a little heifer calf this morning. We got her milked and she was an absolute pro, considering it was her first time in being milked. Looking forward to fresh milk again 😋

Lambing again. Or still, I'm not sure which. Friday night we had a set of twins born and 2 days later we've got around 25. 14 ewes lambed, 240 to go 🙃

The senior pen enjoying their breakfast. Collectively, this pen has 106 years in it! 2 of the horses are 28 and the other 2 are 25. I'm pleased with how they came through winter but looking forward to getting them out on grass!
