Happy Belated International Dog Day!

Every day is a celebration of the joy, companionship, and unconditional love that dogs bring to our lives. And after a long day of walking, playing, and cuddling with these amazing animals, I'm reminded of just how lucky I am to have them by my side.

To all the pup parents out there, I hope you gave your fur babies an extra special walk or playtime yesterday (but every day is a great day for that!).

And to my daily doggies, here's to many more kms, sniffs, and the slobbery kisses I love so much. You bring so much love and light into my life, and I'm honored to be a part of yours. 💖

Timber's Tale: From Snack Attack to Back on Track!

Our curious canine companion, Timber, learned the hard way that not everything is a snack. After a trip to the vet to remove an unwanted intestinal souvenir, Timber is now on the road to recovery!

Ah, the sweet life of a pet care provider! As the sun shines brightly on this beautiful Friday, I get to spend my day doing what I love - surrounded by furry friends and fresh air. There's nothing quite like the joy of watching tails wag and snouts sniff out adventure. Who needs a 9-to-5 when you can have a day filled with slobbery kisses and sunny strolls? 🐾🌞️

Recently, I had to bid farewell to a loyal member of the Mama Sita family, Forest - a lovable and protective black Labrador Retriever with a heart of gold and a penchant for slobbery kisses that occasionally resulted in a fat lip 😅. Forest had been part of my crew since 2015, and during that time, he brightened the lives of those around him (humans and dogs alike) with his wagging tail, joyful barks, and loving gaze. His presence was a constant source of comfort, and his absence leaves a gaping hole in many lives. I will cherish memories of our adventures, snuggles, and unconditional love. Forest will be deeply missed by his sister and partner-in-crime, Leia, his human mom, Rita, and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. Although his earthly journey has ended, his memory will live on in our hearts, making us smile through the tears. Rest in peace, dear Forest. May you now run wild and free in the great dog park in the sky, surrounded by love, joy, and endless treatos!

🐾 Never fall in love with a woman who loves dogs madly... Because she's crazy, and is not a joke. She believes in true love and refuses to give up on that.
She knows that when she comes home from the hard day there is an unconditional love that greets her with happiness and kisses her effusively.
She is convinced that an outdoor walk on a sunny day, or in the rain, is joy.
She firmly believes that, like wolves in a pack her partner can love and protect her, always.
She loves to hear the sound of silence with her dog's breathing as the only music... And she would look for the same thing.
She can teach you how to find peace with a simple caress or an accomplice look.
She feels that faithfulness is not a burden, but something natural, logical and over-understood.
Don't fall in love with a woman who loves dogs madly.
She understands when something is not right before its being said, because of her sixth sense but more because of her extreme sensitivity.
She can be sweet as a puppy or as combative as a wolf.
She has discovered feelings in her beloved dogs that remind her of the tales she used to read as a child, of such noble and ideals... And she intends to find them in a man.
That woman is crazy and can jeopardize her integrity for those animals she loves.
She can laugh out of nowhere and converse in the communion of glances at nap time.
Do not fall in love with such a woman because she knows about reciprocity, nobility, dedication, being in the good and the bad, the feeling put into unlimited demonstrations of love or long stillness.
She will always be a little ridiculous, excessive vehement.
She won't mind the hairs on her dark clothes, they'll be trophies and pride.
She'll cry oceans when her dog leaves and you'll have to respect this mourning.
She will prioritize the well-being of her fur babies during holidays.
She will have 99% of photos of her pups.. And maybe none of yours.
Her intensity means that if you fall in love, you will never be able to forget her even if you leave.
She has a mother's soul, even if she doesn't have children. She has a fierce protective instinct.
She'll ask for everything because when she loves gives it all.
She has learned to love in the perfect present, because this is the bond that binds her to her dog.
Don't fall in love with a woman like that.
Her madness is a transmittable disease... and if by luck you're not immune... you'll end up catching it.🐾

Happy Mother's Day to the fur moms out there! Just because your babies have four legs instead of two, doesn't mean you're any less of a mom. You're the ones who provide endless belly rubs, squeaky toys, and snacks galore - and in return, you get slobbery kisses, destroyed shoes, and the occasional 3 am wake-up call. But hey, it's all worth it for those adorable little faces and snuggles, right? Enjoy your special day, and remember, your pets think you're the most paw-fect mom.

April was a tough month, friends! I'm sad to share that another beloved furry friend left us too soon. Shiloh, who joined Mama Sita's crew in 2017, sadly passed away last month due to age and cancer. This little scamp was quite the feisty fellow when we first met - always telling other dogs who's boss! (Except for his sister Molly, who passed away in 2021 - she was the one exception to his bossy rule!) As he matured, he learned to share the walk-time love with his canine companions and became a gentle soul. Off-leash, he'd bound and leap with pure joy, like a pup half his age! He was a total sweetheart, living for cuddles, belly rubs, and (let's be real) FOOD - oh, how he loved his snacks! In his golden years, he gained a little bro, Miley, and a sister, Tessa, who adored him (and occasionally drove him bonkers with playful antics). Though he's gone, his memory will live on, and I'll miss him dearly. His legacy? Teaching us to enjoy the little things - like snacks, snuggles, and squeaky toys!

Spring has officially sprung, and my animal posse and I are over the moon! We're more than happy to trade in the dreary winter weather for the muddy puddles and the delight that comes with them. Every single day, these rambunctious pups and kittys bring me so much joy, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a loving and loyal group of companions by my side. We're all set to embrace the sunshine!

Remembering Groucho, a beloved friend who brought so much joy to my life. Rescued from a Texas shelter in 2021, Groucho was a charming personality and a sweet love bug. His 'babies' (toys) were his pride and joy, and he guarded them with his life (no chew toys were harmed on his watch). Our walks were the highlight of his day, and although fearful of other dogs at first, he learned to tolerate (dare I say, enjoy?) the occasional canine encounter. Groucho may be gone, but his memory lives on in my heart, and I still giggle when I think of his endearing smile (last pic).

Bella, aka "Bells," was only 3 months shy of her 18th birthday. Unfortunately, her health quickly declined this past week, and she has sadly passed away. I had the pleasure of looking after this little lady frequently, even as recently as this past month. She really lived her 17+ years to the fullest, never missing an opportunity to walk the lakeshore or trespass through the marina. She loved her walks so much that, at the beginning of each one, she would run you right out of the door and continue to sprint until her energy burst and subsided. She would take me all over the place, and if I tried to take her home before she was ready, she would stand her ground. There was no bargaining with this girl; she wanted what she wanted, and she was going to get it! Bella was one of the most fierce Shorkeys I have ever met, strong and healthy, right until the end. She would race up and down stairs, jump up on couches, and boy could she eat! She was the perfect example of "you're only as old as you feel." She may have been small, but she packed a big personality...and an even bigger attitude! Her loving family will miss her dearly, and so will I. We had lots of fun, and I am very thankful the time we spent together. Rest well, sassy girl.
