Tick check time! Ticks love to hide in warm, hard-to-spot places and your dog might not even notice they’ve been bitten.
After walks, hikes, or time in the yard, check these spots: ears👂between the toes 🐾 around the eyes 👁️ under the legs, base of the tail, etc. These are some of the key hiding spots but ticks can latch on anywhere, so give your pup a full once over just to be safe! 🐶

If you find a tick, you can remove it yourself but it’s okay to ask for help. We’re happy to take care of it safely and check for signs of infection. 💜

It’s heating up in Brampton! ☀️🔥
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for our area, with temperatures expected to soar up to 36°C and stick around for the next few days. While we all feel the heat, our pets are especially vulnerable — they can’t sweat like we do, and overheating can happen fast…🫣

Keep outdoor time short, make sure fresh water is always available, and watch for signs of heat stress like heavy panting, sudden fatigue, or wobbliness. Flat-faced breeds, seniors, and overweight pets are most at risk, so extra caution goes a long way! 🤗
