Having a reactive dog can be soooo stressful…. It’s a lot of managing and feeling like you’re doing everything wrong! You blame yourself a lot and are constantly second guessing yourself… it’s exhausting.

And then you have a success like this ☝️ Archie has always been reactive to other dogs, since the day I got him when he was 10 weeks old. Lots of training, management and learning new techniques is what has gotten us here!

We are to the point where if I don’t have treats I am not panicking, I know we can work through whatever we come across! Today I had treats. Today was hard! We took the trail to a park, and there isn’t anywhere to give distance on this trail and distance is our friend, and then when we got to the park this off leash dog was playing ball.

A year ago we would have had to leave the park. It would have been too many triggers on one walk! But tonight, tonight he handled it like a pro 🙌❤️
