♥ Update: we are flooded with requests. We will respond to each request. The spots are taken. We will respond to everyone who has contacted us to see if we can help with a low cost spay/neuter through another program.
Hearts to Homes has 26 subsidized cat spay/neuter spots (12 spays and 14 neuters) available during the month of January for families that cannot otherwise afford to have their cats spayed or neutered. These spots are thanks to a large donation and services donated by one of our wonderful vets here in Brantford.
It will be first come/first serve for Brantford/Brant County/Surrounding Area residents and the fee will be based on what is affordable for each family. Each cat will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and will receive a Rabies & FVRCP vaccine. Cats must be primarily ‘indoor’ cats, at least 4 months old and otherwise in relatively good health. Sorry - it is too cold to shave tummies or backends for outdoor cats – it takes 2 months for the fur to grow back.
