•Being sick can be stressful, especially for cats! Not only do our cat patients have their very own ward (separate from 🐶), but we also try to make their stay enjoyable when they’re away from home and feeling ill 🤒.
•Ever watch a good TV series and lay in bed when you’re feeling under the weather? Well… Bird TV is for the cats 😂 🪶🐦⬛
•These guys LOVED watching some birds/squirrels skitter around on the iPad… it was like being at home watching them through the window!

Ok, let’s get serious here and talk about 💩 😂
We wanted to share a success story about a lovely girl named Luna 🐈⬛ who was just a “weeee bit backed up” to say the least 😳 💩 🤕
Constipation can occur more commonly in cats for a few reasons:
•Cats tend to not drink very much💦
•Obesity🍽️
•Age📜
•Stress (moving homes, even changing the type of litter 😮)
•GI conditions/illness (megacolon) 😿
~Some cats can require just a few enemas, and some VERY constipated cats have to be hospitalized on IV fluids to rehydrate them, be given pain meds and laxatives plus enemas to help them 💩. Severe cases require sedating to manually extract the impacted feces 💉
•Luna is doing a happy dance 💃 to celebrate being “empty” after being hospitalized with us, hooray 🥳

Big breath in… and everybody exhale and say, “Ahhhhhhhhhhh” 🧖♀️ 🧖♂️
Our little friend Gus was in a bit of a “sticky” situation the other day 😝. He found a household mouse glue trap 🐭 in his home and while he managed to break free of it himself, he was covered in the very viscous, sticky glue all over 😢
With some pain meds and a few medicated baths, Gus was cleared to go home!
We thought we’d share his “spa day experience “ as we combed out the glue chunks from his fur, he was such a champ! 🪥
