Ohh the excitement when breakfast is served! π In the winter, we're feeding the mares (and the cows) daily with a hay buster. This has worked really well for us, especially on frozen, snow covered ground! The dust just flies away in the process, the narrow rows are moved every day to clean ground, they allow plenty of space for all of them to eat without food aggression and waste/spoilage is close to zero, compared to round bale feeding. π€
Bushes are multi-purpose π€
Foaling season is over and it went very smooth <3 It's the best feeling when they all can go out on grass now, to eat and grow and play and learn to be little well-behaved horses. (If only there wasn't that bloody burdock around π€¬)
