Arturo
October 20 2018 - July 22 2024

They say dogs come into our lives to teach us about love, and they depart to teach us about loss. That was certainly the case with Arturo, I like to think we found each other when we needed each other the most. Me, while I was grieving and he from being broken from the cruelty of people who gave him a sad start in life. Thanks to SOS Corgis, Arty got the chance to help heal a broken heart 💔 from the loss of another fat fu**er. And I hope inturn I taught him that some humans are kind.


My heart wishes it could have been for many more years of your smiley face, silly antics, your couch stealing, tell everyone where to go attitude and for all your shakey shakey toys laying about the run that was always so annoying to pick up during mowing time, but it was not meant to be.

Thank you Arturo for allowing me to teach you that humans can be loving and for trusting me to love you the way you needed to be loved .. on your terms.

Godspeed my little bear man, until we meet again.

PS: Thank you to SOS Corgis for allowing us to foster then adopt Arturo. And for the support over these past years and last few difficult days. SOS Corgis is a non profit organization that helps Canadian Pembroke Welsh Corgis in need. And the need is always there, whether it be in finding fosters, funding for vet care and basic needs, drivers, ect. If anyone would like to foster, adopt or just help provide vet care for a Pembroke Welsh Corgi in need please contact SOS representative, Sarah Boucher .

I know Arty would love it, if you would consider giving another corgi the same 2nd chance at a happy life he was given.

Dear valued clients, please take note that our schedule is fully booked for July, August, and most of September, with limited availability in October. We are now accepting bookings for Christmas.

As an additional reminder, I will be taking a much-needed vacation in January 2025 for 14 days, my first non-dog-related vacation in 20 years. Exact dates will be announced shortly.

Let's get real for a second.

The world often paints a picture that dogs who live together are best friends and do everything together.

This is just not true. Many many many multidog household utilize management in different situations to allow dogs personal space to enjoy things such as:

- feeding time
- chew time
- play time
- attention time

This. Is. Normal.

Just because someone utilizes management, doesn't mean their dogs don't enjoy each other's company or have fun together. It just means that there are certain activities that they prefer to do on their own.

And I will tell you firsthand that implementing safe space zones and time apart can be so beneficial to the relationship between two dogs.

Think about it-- do you enjoy doing every single activity that you do at home with your spouse, family, or sibling RIGHT there? I don't think so.

So let's normalize management between dogs who live together!!

The puppies are all off to their forever homes this coming weekend. Congratulations to Lee Jolliffe who is now Autumn now Lainey's mom,
To Candance, Harlan & Arlo who is Cider's new family and to my wonderful vet Dr Sarah King DVM who is now Harvey 's new mom. These puppies are such special little love bugs and with perfect forever homes.

We will no longer be offering daycare in It's current form. To make sure I could go into 2024 without dramatic price changes that would affect our clients we will be dropping daycare and only be doing day boarding. Day boarders will still get to play and social with the current dogs that come as well as the non reactive boarding clients. DAYBOARDING WILL BE $30.00

PETSITTING: $80.00 FOR THE FIRST 4 PETS $15.00 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL PET

CAT VISITS: $40 PER DAY which covers 3 inhome visits $10 per extra visit.

NAIL TRIMS: $16.00 (this includes nails and excess fur)

Travel tips for pet owners who will be boarding and / or hiring a petsitter for the holidays and beyond.

Make sure your boarding facility or petsitter has your itinerary

Leave a letter or add your pet care person to your dog, cat or birds vet records incase of emergencies

Make sure your pet care provider is up to date on any health and temperament changes that might indicate something is happening ie: more stressed ..showing anxiety

AND THE BIG ONE

With airlines having employee shortages and changes to return flights ect. Inquire about your petcare providers policies for needing to stay longer at the facility or with your pets in your home.

Dear Doggy Daycare Clients,

We love how you all recommend us for doggy daycare but we have decided effective immediately that we will no longer be adding new dogs to the daycare roster. We are happy with our current smaller numbers.

Lucy would also like to add that while she enjoys all her friends come January 1st she is semi retiring from daycare and fully retiring July 5th on her 10th Birthday.

Even though Lucy will be retiring, Bree and Joya will still be available to help your dogs terrorize the neighborhood. JK ;)
