Tip of the day:
Something to think about before getting a new pet bird. If you tend toward allergies you should avoid cockateils, cockatoos, African grey and Amazons. These are what we call old world parrots. They have a much smaller particle of dander and lots of it. More of a dust. This dust is not only very harmful to other birds like conures and Macaws, it is murder on allergies and the #1 cause of these beautiful birds being rehomed.

Just a tip. You may notice your bird sneezing a bit more than usual this week, it is likely due to dry air. Our heat is running more than usual with this cold snap, so most of us have extra dry air in our homes. Adding a humidifier, or a pot of water on the stove will help. If you notice eye or nazel discharge then call a vet!! That is a different issue all together!

I'm covered in formula and sleeping when the baby sleeps, but we are doing great. Baby is getting stronger already. We will call this IRN baby Ducky, just for now. :)

Day 3 for the baby IRN. He is eating well and growing fast. We are waiting on the next babe to hatch. "Tiny Tim" here wants to play with his siblings.
