It is with a heavy heart that we are sharing Luke again, as he needs to be moved from his current foster to adopt home, through no-fault of his own. In fact, his foster mom is absolutely heartbroken but unfortunately, due to a significant medical crisis of her own, she will be unable to continue to care for Luke as she had hoped and expected to for the rest of his life. All she asks is that we make sure this amazing dog gets another chance with someone else who can give him the happily-ever-after he deserves. Luke has a reduced adoption fee and will be fully vetted in the days and weeks to come. The wounds he came with that covered his face and body have begun to heal, and he enjoys short leash walks with his favourite stuffed toy in his mouth and soaking up the sunshine in his fenced in his yard space. Luke does need a cat free home, but he is so laid-back and easy-going, there isn’t much else he likely would not quickly adjust to. Thank you to all those who have inquired, we have found a wonderful foster home where Frida will be able to recover from her injuries! As you can see she is awake, but not on her feet yet. She isn’t much interested in eating, but this is not unusual post-surgery and with all the meds in her system. Thank you Mission Mayday and to all the amazing folks who have donated! She has a long road ahead, but she is young and otherwise healthy which will help ensure a positive outcome for her! We will keep the updates coming and we are still welcoming donations to help cover the cost of her care! Thank you!! 💜

We can’t think of a more certain way to start off the week feeling pure joy, than by sharing this video of Cora, sent to us by her loving family, showing her incredible progress since she fully lost her back end mobility last November following her spay surgery. We kept the faith that our resilient, powerful, warrior princess who had already survived being hit by a car, a bad fracture, surgery and a severe infection would battle her way through this too…and here we are today!! With the love and commitment of her family, acupuncture and laser therapy, she has regained almost full mobility. She still has some work to do, but she has been given the all clear to start physical therapy to get her the rest of the way there!!
Keep up the good work, Cora!! You have the best family and the most amazing life ahead of you now!! 💜💜💜

Lili is looking good after her big dental surgery and wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for coming out to our Mother’s Day weekend event last Saturday at Justin's Pet Store!
We raised almost $700 with our raffle, bake sale and amazing dog bed drive hosted by Justin’s! Thanks also to Sassypants Pets Bakery for giving the visiting pups some happy tummies and Quinn's Blooms Florist & Flower Delivery for generously donating the roses for our giveaway. We couldn’t have done any of this without the support of the amazing folks at Justin’s and their fantastic customers. And thank you to all our loyal followers who dropped by to help support us!

Pompom is feeling soooo much better, just one week after having a full mouth extraction. It’s amazing how resilient these souls are…after having survived a lifetime of neglect, then abandonment and a high risk surgery, he is still the happiest and sweetest boy….and now his Foster Mom is able to welcome all those happy kisses without the horrific breath he had from the severe infection in his mouth!
