We are a registered non-profit CANADIAN based group working to support and facilitate animal rescue primarily within Ontario and Quebec.

As supporters of the humane treatment of animals, we want to see all adoptable animals find a loving and caring forever home. Our objective is to enter into fundraising activities that will enable us to provide responsible rescue to homeless animals which will include the provision of spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchipping as well as all necessary medical treatments and rehabilitation to ensu

re successful, lifelong adoptions. We will work collaboratively with both local and high kill shelters to try to rescue senior, special needs and death row animals first and foremost - to save as many lives as we can. We will also partner with other animal-based initiatives to strengthen and unify the rescue community and to increase resources for pet parents within our local communities and beyond.

💜RESCUE NEWS💜
Thank you for safely delivering 3 year old Yorkie mix Jax, to our loving arms yesterday. This cutie found himself surrendered to a Quebec pound when his family could no longer house him. He is a little under socialized but very sweet in spite of his uncertainty of all the scary changes he has faced recently.

Jax wants to say a great big thank you to ALL the foster families like his, who open their hearts and homes to animals in need. The number of abandoned animals we see is staggering and for every one rescued and placed in foster care until their forever home is found, another animal will have their chance at the same. So many rescues are working harder than ever before to keep up with the great need but we cannot do it alone.

Thank you to all who foster, volunteer, donate, and share our posts. 🙏

Presenting our last five fabulous vendors for our Warm Wishes and Wet Kisses Holiday Market, kicking off tomorrow at 11am at the Columbus Community Centre in Cobourg: , .j.sumners , , and . 22 different vendors in all to shop with, plus the K9C fundraising tables (ahem, bake sale!). Doggy nail trims and holiday pet photos. Adoptable dogs on site! Come by and shop, support rescue and don’t forget to bring your pup!

Yesterday was another leap of faith day for our team as we welcomed seven precious souls into the K9Crusaders family! These babies were slated to be euthanized yesterday, but instead, they have joined their new foster families who will help rewrite their stories! Check out our Facebook post for all the details including our collaboration with to help ensure we give these babies all they need to begin their new lives! 🫶🏻

🐶🐶ADOPTABLE APPEARANCE ALERT🐶🐶

As promised, here’s a list of all the foster pups who will be making appearances at our fundraising event on Saturday (11/16):

💜11-4 (all day) Fifi and Sissy, (photos top left) the bonded pair of Chinese Cresteds will be hanging out all day with foster mama Katrina from watching everyone get their $10 nail trims.

Foster Dog Meet and Greets! Since the Columbus Community Centre in Cobourg is dog friendly, not only can you bring your well behaved, leashed dog to our fundraiser on November 16, we can bring some of our adoptables to meet with interested families. So far we can confirm that our newest puppy princess, 6 month old Sophie will be onsite from 11-12 with her foster mama and “The Girls”, bonded pair of Chinese Cresteds will be spending the whole day their with their foster, Katrina of , who will be doing our nail trims. (A $10 donation gets your pooch a pawdicure). Come and meet your favourites in person and find out if your a good match from their foster parents. Find all the fosters in the small hall on your left when you enter the facility. More dogs to come as we finalize our schedule!

Happy Gotcha Day to Kevin!!! 💜💜💜

It is hard to believe it’s been one year since Kevin found his happily ever after!! Here is an update from his Paw’rents received earlier today..

“Happy One Year Gotcha Day to Kevin the Dog aka Kevy. Hard to believe it’s been a year already. Also wanted to share that after an abdominal ultrasound on September 23, Kevin was diagnosed with an inoperable mass that is affecting his bladder and bowels. For an almost 14 year old he is very resilient and most days wouldn’t even know. He’s on a regimen of antibiotics and meloxicam which has helped tremendously. He’s still loves his daily walks and gets so happy and excited.”

Please join us in sending healing prayers and best wishes for Kevin and his family. They have demonstrated with such grace how beautiful it is to focus on quality over quantity of time with our senior pets!!

You are so loved, sweet Kevy!! 💜

PLEASE SHARE 💜 It is with a heavy heart that we are sharing Luke again, as he needs to be moved from his current foster to adopt home, through no-fault of his own. In fact, his foster mom is absolutely heartbroken but unfortunately, due to a significant medical crisis of her own, she will be unable to continue to care for Luke as she had hoped and expected to for the rest of his life. All she asks is that we make sure this amazing dog gets another chance with someone else who can give him the happily-ever-after he deserves. Luke has a reduced adoption fee and will be fully vetted in the days and weeks to come. The wounds he came with that covered his face and body have begun to heal, and he enjoys short leash walks with his favourite stuffed toy in his mouth and soaking up the sunshine in his fenced in his yard space. Luke does need a cat free home, but he is so laid-back and easy-going, there isn’t much else he likely would not quickly adjust to. If you have a soft spot for senior dogs, look no further than this extra special boy…and you will find a wonderful new best friend! Thank you to all those who have inquired, we have found a wonderful foster home where Frida will be able to recover from her injuries! As you can see she is awake, but not on her feet yet. She isn’t much interested in eating, but this is not unusual post-surgery and with all the meds in her system. Thank you Mission Mayday and to all the amazing folks who have donated! She has a long road ahead, but she is young and otherwise healthy which will help ensure a positive outcome for her! 💜💜CORA UPDATE💜💜 We can’t think of a more certain way to start off the week feeling pure joy, than by sharing this video of Cora, sent to us by her loving family, showing her incredible progress since she fully lost her back end mobility last November following her spay surgery. We kept the faith that our resilient, powerful, warrior princess who had already survived being hit by a car, a bad fracture, surgery and a severe infection would battle her way through this too…and here we are today!! With the love and commitment of her family, acupuncture and laser therapy, she has regained almost full mobility. She still has some work to do, but she has been given the all clear to start physical therapy to get her the rest of the way there!! Keep up the good work, Cora!! You have the best family and the most amazing life ahead of you now!! 💜💜💜
