How many people have dogs with a weight problem, carrying a few extra pounds? I confess I have a pack of overweight dogs! I changed food to a higher-quality food and kept feeding the same amount of kibble. That great new food packed pounds on all my dogs. My Bear gained two harness sizes. I found a very easy diet that has taken 10 lbs off Bear in months. I used to feed twice a day. I cut out one feeding (dinner). I now only feed once a day. It took 3 days before the dogs stopped asking for dinner. All of my dogs are losing fat. Bear can again jump up on the bed after using a ramp for a few months. Bear's harness is now too large.
