Did you know that cold weather can pose serious risks to pets? 🚫❄️

Cold tolerance definitely varies by pet. Although long-haired and thick-coated dogs are more tolerant, they are still at risk. Certain pre-existing conditions can also make it harder to regulate temperature. We need to change our behaviour in the winter to keep our pets warm and safe: do they need a jacket to be comfortable? Should walks be shorter? Make sure to consistently check in with your pet, check their paws for harm or irritation, and make sure they are staying warm and dry this winter!

Avoid these top 5 dangerous foods and ensure a happy, healthy celebration for your four-legged family members:

1️⃣ Say NO to Poultry Bones: Cooked bones can splinter, posing a risk of internal injury. Make sure you opt for boneless treats.

2️⃣ Beware of Turkey Skin and Fat: Fatty meals can lead to pancreatitis. Offer lean, skinless, and well-cooked turkey in moderation to keep tails wagging.
