For the past two decades, Headon Forest Animal Hospital has been providing quality veterinary care to the dogs and cats of Burlington and exceptional service to their loving owners (parents). We are a full service veterinary hospital offering comprehensive and compassionate healthcare, modern equipment and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We are proud of the high level of care we provide and strive

to proactively help our patients live healthier, longer lives. The American Animal Hospital Association is the only organization that accredits companion animal veterinary hospitals in North America. To become accredited by AAHA, our hospital must demonstrate an exceptional level of medical care and client service, and be measured against the most rigorous standards in the veterinary industry. This is an additional accreditation that is voluntary to those who strive for excellence and a higher standard of care for your pets. Only about 12% of animal hospitals in the U.S. and Canada are accredited by AAHA, and we're proud to say that we're one of them!

-Closed Wednesdays from Noon to 1:30pm for Staff Training

As winter temperatures continue to get warmer each year, ticks and flea are still active during these months. Fleas can survive in near-freezing conditions and ticks are active in any temperature above 2°and In fact, when it gets even colder outside, the perfect environment for fleas and ticks still exists—your home! Remember to pick up your flea and tick prevention to ensure your animals are protected all year long!

Happy New Year to everyone!

With the lovely snowfall last night, we wanted to share some tips about pets and salty roads and sidewalks. It is always best for our furry friends to use a paw-friendly salt product that is less harmful to their feet. Regular salt can be irritating and make paws dry and cracked. You can protect them with booties or use a balm like Dermoscent BioBalm before leaving the house. Failing that, a good wipe or rinse of the paws after walks is always a good idea.
