EMERGENCY HELP NEEDED FOR 30 ADULT CATS + 5 LITTERS OF KITTENS!
We have just removed 30 adult female cats from one home in the Hamilton mountain area, along with 5 litters of kittens, and we urgently need assistance - we need hands on help, supplies, and we urgently need funds to help with the enormous costs of medical care.
How?
We were called by the property owners of a rental home who are working to evict a tenant, when the tenant was discovered to be hoarding a large number of cats and kittens.
Why?
Kind property owners, who were told animals would be put to sleep at animal services, these people reached out for the assistance of a rescue who would work to help the animals, without the loss of lives of healthy animals who could be medically treated, rehabilitated and rehomed.
When?
Today, April 4/22, volunteers arrived to pick up cats, already in cat carriers, to transport them to area vet clinics. Our efforts began at 8:30 am, and all cats and kittens had made it to vet clinics by 10:30 am, where they are all currently undergoing full exams, blood testing, are being vaccinated and where adult cats are being assessed for spay surgeries.
Who?
All 30 of the adult cats we rescued today are female cats, along with these adult cats, we have rescued 5 litters of still nursing kittens aged 2-6 weeks (22 kittens in total).
What else?
Currently remaining on location and awaiting rescue are 11 adult male cats, who also need to be rescued, vetted and placed into foster and Forever Homes - we will return for these cats as soon as we have room to fit them into foster homes.
TODAY 52 PRECIOUS LITTLE LIVES HAVE BEEN CHANGED FOR THE BETTER!
With your help, each of these beautiful souls will be provided with the care, love and kindness they need and will have the opportunity to find their way into the loving homes and hearts of Forever Families who will treasure and chreish them as they so much deserve to be.

Within the next 5-7 days, as many of the adult cats as possible will be spayed (those too far along in current pregnancies have already been secured foster placements) and these adult cats will require placement with foster families where they can recover from their spay surgeries, and where they can decompress from the traumatic loss of their home, friends, and where they can overcome the confusion of living lives where they are provided individual focus, cuddles and care.
If you can foster an adult cat, or pair of adult cats, please submit a foster application today at http://priderescue.ca/
