With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we want to remind everyone to be extra cautious with chocolate around your pets. While we may love indulging in sweet treats, chocolate is highly toxic to dogs and cats. Even small amounts can lead to serious health issues, including vomiting, diarrhea, rapid heart rate, and in severe cases, seizures. The theobromine in chocolate is the culprit, and it’s especially dangerous for smaller pets. To keep your furry friends safe this Valentine’s Day, make sure all chocolate is stored securely out of their reach. If you suspect your pet has eaten chocolate, contact your vet right away. Stay sweet and safe!

We were absolutely thrilled to have RVT student Laura with us for her college placement! Throughout her time here, Laura gained hands-on experience, observing a wide variety of procedures and treatments alongside our skilled RVTs and veterinarians. Her passion for learning and dedication to animal care shone through in everything she did. We’re excited to see all the incredible things she will achieve in her career and can’t wait to welcome her back in the future. Wishing Laura all the best as she continues on her journey ahead!
