Chip & Dale Update
The boys will be going to MOVEH in October to see an Orthopedic Specialist to give us a clearer understanding of what their future will look like. Once we have answers we will be posting these beautiful pups for adoption. More details Oct 18th. Thank you to Good Will Good Karma and Darleen for sponsoring their specialist consolations. We are so grateful to have your support and generosity.
Who remembers Stella ? Stella was 1/22 dogs rescued from a single home. Petrified of the outside world, urine stained paws and an oder that could wake the dead. Our foster Pam took Stella and her brother Barry ( who had basically a broken knee) into her home until they found a forever home. Stella was with Pamela for months building up trust and confidence. Finally the perfect family came along and gave Stella everything to help her become the bravest, silliest confident pup she could be. 7 months later Pamela got to meet Stella again. You always wonder “ Will they remember me?” Warning this video may cause you to want to Foster! Thank you to Pamela & Moira for making this possible. #fosterssavelives
Update **
Tiny Tim has since crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈
Last night we got a request to help a dog. When the foster went to pick it up she left with 3 pups in need of medical care from the Breeders house. Pups will see a vet this morning and we will have more information about their wellbeing. We don’t know much about the owner only that this WILL be the last time that dog breeds.
Fostering is a great way for students to earn volunteer hours and build skills and gain experience that will one day be helpful in the workplace. At the same time these students are helping to reduce the every day stress and struggles of find temporary homes for animals while they wait to be adopted. For more information on how to volunteer with us through fostering or other opportunities please email [email protected]
Fostering is not only a great way to help a dog find its forever home but also an opportunity for families to test out the waters with dogs of different ages, sizes and behaviours before they go and adopt the first cute dog they see. Having the opportunity to “foster to adopt” or just foster allows individuals to remember what it’s like to own a puppy again and the work behind being a dog owner or multiple dog owner. Adopting a dog is a life commitment and we want to set you and the dog up for success. No one buys a car without a test drive ! So why not foster before a 10+ year commitment. Contact us at [email protected] for more information about fostering and fostering to adopt!
Without Foster’s there is no way that we can save them. There is just no way! Foster’s are their lifeline to a second chance. For more information about fostering email us at [email protected]

We are looking for individuals to join our team to help place dogs into forever homes. Commitment is flexible based on when we intake dogs and where the dog is fostered. What is involved? Adoption Coordinators work closely with the foster parents to gain info and understanding about the dog they are assigned so that they can speak confidently about the dog when interviewing an applicant. You will screen applications and then set up a phone interview with the applicant that was chosen. After a successful interview we move onto a meet and greet. Either you or another Adoption Coordinator who is available can facilitate the meet and greet so having a vehicle would be needed. After a successful meet and greet the Adoption Coordinator completes the adoption by sending the adoption agreement and following up with the team lead to send any other needed paperwork. ie medical. Adoption Coordinators can be located between Toronto to Woodstock and Milton ,Cambridge to Stoneycreek. Contact us to learn more .
