This is Myrtle! She was our BIG ray of sunshine today! Myrtle is special for more reasons than the fact that she is sweet as pie, since she was a puppy she has not had eyes- you would think that would slow her down but it absolutely doesn't!

Today is Puppy Mill Awareness Day!

Puppy mills come in all shapes, colours, sizes and disguises. When looking to add a new puppy to your family, we encourage you to ask questions! Ask LOTS of questions. A good breeder will welcome your questions and want to ensure that you are a good fit for one of their puppies. Recognize some of the red flags that come with puppy mills. We have shared a few of the big ones, but you must trust your gut. If something feels wrong or fishy, it most likely is.

ADOPT! Shelters everywhere are full, and many fantastic dogs are looking for a home. Check with your local shelter to see who is ready for a family.

Together, we can end this cruel cycle of over-breeding for profit.

Good afternoon! Our hospital has decided to collect donations for the Compassion Society from now through to the end of December. If your family has some things they would like to donate, they can of course bring it directly to the Compassion Society, or can drop off here and we will add it to what we collect over the next couple of months.
The link below is a list of their most needed items.

If you want to do something to support the community, look at our list of the things that the less fortunate need mostly and donate to Compassion Society of Halton.
