I have lived with horses my entire life. There are a part of who I am and life just isn’t the same without them. As I am sure many of you know all too well what I am talking about. We are dedicated to our sport with the drive to always be better for our equine partner. Whether it be for competition or just to go out and enjoy riding. Here you will find a positive community all with the same goal in mind. Helping you enjoy your time with your horse.
Through my training program horses will gain confidence and strength. I truly communicate with these horses in a way that they understand so when the time comes for them to go home, the truly know what is expected of them. Understanding and communication is a big piece of the partnership. Of course you want to succeed with your horse, that is why I include lessons as part of your training experience. So you can go home and also understand the how’s and why’s of the process. The type of training I do ranges from c**t starting, western and english, to jumping training, to kid proofing, confidence building and problem solving. Additionally, I am now including rehabilitation in my program.
Coaching is one of my favorite things. I love seeing the immediate improvement in riders when I explain that one thing missing from the overall picture. Those ah-ha! moments are so rewarding. I am a CHA Certified riding coach with Western level 2, and English level 3 qualifications. Teaching from ages 5 to 65, and anywhere from your first time being on a horse, to competition level. I have a weekly lesson program with the option to use my horse or yours at our beautiful outdoor facility. I also coach within a few of the local riding clubs. You will likely see me at the local horse shows with some my students cheering them on, helping them remember their patterns, or taking videos. The lesson horses in our program are calm, gentle and safe. Everyone loves my main guy, Harley, an OTTB with an old soul, gentle eye and the best kid mode.
We have a beautiful private facility a few minutes west of Busby, AB. With a large outdoor sand arena, many colorful jumps and training obstacles, a 60’ roundpen and a new 6 stall barn. A couple times throughout the year I will be hosting clinics at home, and am always accepting training horses.
