I can’t explain to you all how many times I see pups online being raised in deplorable conditions and my mind can’t unsee it. I get why people see BYB and go EW, let’s paint all breeders with the same brush.🖌️

BUT, in my eyes .. we need to educate folks on where to buy from responsibly if they choose not to rescue.

Dogs being bought on whims without proper education on 1) raising a puppy 2) GENETICS, matter! More than most people think 3) the work that goes into raising a dog.

I feel it’s our responsibility as breeders to educate families on our expectations while getting to know theirs.

This show is a heart show of mine and really reminds me of my bestfriend🩷 and our overwhelming love for each other.
How did I know I was done with doggy daycares and boarding, I started looking like Regina.

I worked for over 10 years in the dog and cat care industry and I was burnt the F out.

The amount of turn over in animal care is exhausting. Staff come and go like a revolving door and when you’re one of the older staff it becomes absolutely exhausting to give a 💩
Okay is life exactly where I want it to be? Absolutely not.
BUT, not having crazies know where I live has been such a blessing.
For over two years I was living in constant fear of who would be called, what would be fabricated, and what in turn, I’d mentally have to overcome.

In over two years I received one fine of $110 total and nothing more. But as someone who suffers from PTSD, we don’t like anyone in our space and especially our home.

Our home is suppose to be our safe space and someone ruined that for me. To the point we installed cameras everywhere and triple locked doors, no one should have to live in fear when they’re doing nothing wrong but living.

In all seriousness, we have arrived in Alberta!
We are dreaming of owning a hobby farm and are doing short term rentals till we can B U Y since I refuse to sign a 12 month lease.

Hubby and I have rented for 9 years, with a total of 192,000 in rent payments, I just cannot do it again.

everyone told me I’d have to s3ll my dogs, give up in my dream, rehoming my rabbits and piggy.

I didn’t buy nor adopt anyone just to sell them and don’t get me wrong, there are folks that are struggling to feed their kids however, I committed to my babies and so committed I shall stay.

Now did we anticipate all the bumps along the way? Absolutely not but it takes a special family to survive trailer life and all our obstacles and for that I’m grateful.

Some do not.
Some work towards working titles,
Others hope to help you stop your dog from eating your couch.
Some may believe in 🦄 and flowers,
Others may believe in corrections.
Some may label themselves R+ and others balanced.

1) BARE NECESSITY .. if you are wearing fake Gucci and swinging dogs around ? GTFO ‼️👋🏻✌🏻that’s number 1.
2) if you are consistently ripping on other trainers, hard pass.
If you need to spend more time convincing me your methods are the right way, and others are wrong, you won’t be for me.
3) I follow a very OPEN MINDED APPROACH thanks to my friend, @sailorjerrithedogtrainer .
4) I respect the trainers I follow and do not bad mouth them to anyone.
5) I am an open book and I firmly believe banning tools is the wrong approach, that’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it.
6) NO ONE SAYS YOU HAVE TO PICK A SIDE.

What I look for:
Do I like their MORALS —> now this doesn’t mean for me, are they heading to church on sundays. No, no. Are they passionate? Have animal welfare top priority ? Do they actively support their clients? How do they speak about those they love.

And quite frankly; do they make me bust a gut because that’s what I LIKE and how I LEARN
