Had a great day visiting today. They just completed their new building and it looks great!
Laura Lee and I helped by donating an AC unit to help the kitties and make sure they were comfortable in their new enclosure.
Next step is to get these dogs and cats adopted!!

Let’s give a big paws up for Moose👏👏
He just recently got adopted from BARCS and his new family wanted to get some more training, and he has done fantastic!
Moose walks great on leash, loves his place bed, crate, enjoys playing with other dogs and his recall is improving daily!
This sweet guy had a rough start to life, and look at him now❤️

New hours for our grey and cold season. Since the majority of our sessions our outdoors and we like to work in the daylight the last start time for training sessions is 4:00 PM.
Not available at that time, no worries we currently have 2 time slots available on Saturdays.

Teaching your puppy place is a fundamental exercise that should not be overlooked.
Downshifting from a training session or walk to the place cot will help your puppy decompress, relax and teaches them to self regulate. Scarlett is 15 weeks old and from place she goes to her crate for a much needed rest after our training session.

Let’s give a big paws up to Diesel for completing Walk This Way 4🐾🐾🎉
This guy was reactive towards cars, bikes and pretty much anything with wheels, and now his family can walk with more confidence. We also worked on recall, structured games like tug and socialization.

I love taking the dogs to the off leash park, and they love going! It’s a great way for them to explore, run, play and be dogs. The downside of course is dog parks can be a real hazard. Poorly trained dogs, owners who have zero control, people don’t pick up 💩and the general stupidly of most humans can get aggravating. So, why do I go? Well, this park is massive, in total 62 hectares. Now, all of that is not necessarily off leash or accessible but the 152 acres of fenced area is, and it ranks #5 largest dog park on the world, we are very lucky.

My rules for going to the dog park:
✅ never go weekends, public holidays or evenings
✅ always steer clear of large packs of dogs, your dogs do not need to meet them!
✅ always watch where you’re going and look for areas with less people. Wait to go into certain areas once they have cleared out
✅if your dog does not have perfect recall DO NOT TAKE THEM. Utilize the smaller fenced in areas within the park, or take them to one of the many private off leash parks.
✅always keep moving and engaged with your dog. If you spot trouble walk a different direction.
✅ your main focus should be walking WITH your dog, and working your dog. Use recall often throughout the walk. I call the dogs back every 50-100ft for a check in, and they have no issues doing it.
✅ make sure you have a solid relationship built on trust, respect and leadership. If you don’t have this, then make this your priority.

This pair just completed walk this way 4 and now their walks are way more pleasant as their owners have learned how to keep them calm, and are stepping up to their role as leader of this beautiful pack! These littles struggled with the big world around them, and now are way more comfortable with everything in their neighborhood.
Way to go Amy and Fred👍👍
