Happy 2nd birthday to my beautiful Canelita!! 2 years ago to this hour, Luna was still in the first stage of labour. It wasn't until 9 pm when she had her first 2 puppies within 5 minutes apart. Canela came 1 hour later as tiny as could be! To this day, she is still the smallest pup at birthweight of all 3 litters Luna has had. She was so tiny that the sac was so big, it was hard to tell if there was actually a puppy inside or if it was just placenta. But when I cut the sac open, indeed there was a puppy but I thought for sure she was dead because she was so tiny and lifeless. But with some stimulation, she made her first noise in this world. From that moment, she fought hard to stay. Even when her temperature and heart rate were low, she came back stronger than ever. She was a fighter. The only puppy out of all 3 litters to take a bottle. To this day, she still eats her food ravenously. She has brought so much joy to this house. She is the mediator between her parents when they are mad at each other and has the sweetest, most goofiest nature. She makes me laugh daily. I love you so much Canela, thank you for coming into my life and fighting to stay ❤
