Unfortunately Dr. Joe came up positive on his covid rapid antigen test on January 5 but we are happy to report that he is feeling well. He tested on January 4 as well and was negative.

We are anticipating some disruptions and changes in hours. Please stay tuned for more information in the coming hours

For the Canada Day weekend, tha Animal Clinic will be closed from July 1 to July 4 and re- opening on July 5. Here's hoping your weekend is filled with joy!

Just a simple reminder that the Animal Clinic is closed on the Saturday of every long weekend.

A cool and wet forecast can only mean that it must be the May long weekend so we will be closed this Saturday.

Unfortunately, due to a presumptive Covid cases in one of our team members, the remaining staff and veterinarians of the Animal Clinic will be in isolation until April 21. If Dr. Waldman remains negative we will intend to open on April 22.

We understand the inconvenience of this announcement and will do our best to serve your needs remotely when possible. Please be patient in the first few days while we organize this transition.

Happy August! Here's hoping you all had a great long weekend.

Dr. Joe left for his summer holiday the other day and will be away until August 20. In his place, Drs. Bennett and Bruce will be filling in.

Please also make note that the Animal Clinc will be closed this Friday (August 7).

COVID UPDATE PHASE 1

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for being so understanding to the changes implemented since March and we hope that life will return to normal soon!

As you are likely aware, the Province of Alberta announced the first phase to the re-opening strategy last week so it’s appropriate that we keep you all up to date on our plans.
For the time being, we will be making only minor changes to our current protocol. We will still only be allowing staff members into the clinic and will maintain a strict drop off and delivery at the door protocol. We understand that this process created some inefficiencies but we are hoping that it gets easier. Please be patient and if you are getting the message when you call, please call back.

Take comfort in knowing that if your adult pet’s vaccines are overdue, that they will still provide adequate protection for months or even years past the next due date. We will continue to see puppies and kittens for vaccinations and we will start allowing current clients whose pets are due for the 1 year booster to book appointments.

Because of our shortened schedule, it may take some time to end the backlog so, again, we ask for patience.

For current clients, we will honor any requests for refills of de-wormer and flea/tick medications.

Before making any additional changes, we will wait to see the impact of the phase 1 re-opening.

Thanks to all of you for your understanding and for doing your part to help keep us feeling safe. I hope that I will get to see you all, In person and without a mask very soon.

In response to the Covid pandemic, please be advised that the Animal Clinic will be maintaining business as usual. However, we ask that anyone who has been out of the country in the past 2 weeks (U.S. included) to please call and re-schedule your appointment.

If your pet is unwell or if your pet is a puppy or kitten needing booster vaccinations and you have been out of the country in the past 2 weeks, please call the clinic and make arrangements for a drop off appointment.

Drop off appointments will be maintained on schedule with pet owners remaining in their vehicle.

We are a busy, well-established, independently owned veterinary practice located in Downtown Calgary; we take pride in delivering high quality service and health care to our excellent clients and their pets.

The successful candidate will be a quick and efficient learner, reliable, have strong communication skills, generate good rapport with clientele and staff, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A sincere desire to help people and their pets is mandatory. Experience in a veterinary clinic preferred. A willingness to learn basic animal handling is necessary, as well as being involved in general clinic cleaning and maintenance.

Position is available mid February. Candidates must be prepared to work rotating Thursday evenings and Saturdays. Position is for 32-40 hours per week.
