As the Labor Day long weekend arrives, let's take advantage of the beautiful weather before fall sets in. We will be closed for the holiday, reopening on Tuesday, September 3rd, and look forward to resuming our pet pampering services then.

Beautiful, hot summer days are wonderful but remember to keep your pets protected in this hot weather. Have plenty of fresh water if your taking them with you on a walk or to the park. Cooling jackets are a great way to keep them from overheating. And remember to never leave them unattended in a hot car. Leave them at home where they’re safe and comfortable.

A big shoutout to the Calgary Humane Society for helping pet parents!

Calgary Humane Society is proud to announce its first Community Spay and Neuter Clinic aimed at addressing urgent pet overpopulation and capacity issues in Calgary 🩺 . We need your help to put it on 🚨 ! The first clinic is scheduled to take place on June 27 and will be accessible for low-income families who's cat or dog is in need of a spay/neuter 🐱🐶. Applications of the clinic will open on June 17th.

Bernie had her first groom today. She said everything was scary but her groomer went slow and talked softly to her and made her experience much nicer. She even wagged her tail for Kristina when she was done!

Just a shout out to my wonderful ladies I work with at Mucky Pups. I had to leave work in a hurry this morning to take my little senior dog Nicky to emergency and all the girls pulled together to take over my clients that were booked for me. My little Nicky is okay and she came home with me with just a couple of meds. She is doing well at least for now. Wonderful staff and vets at Fishcreek Pet Hospital!
