Operating on the west side of Calgary for the last 5 years, Barking Up the Right Tree Pet Services has been keeping dogs happy at the park, in the streets, and at home. Owner and pack leader Jenna walks a balanced pack 5 days a week, walking and training dogs from as young as 4 months old.

So saddened by the passing of Sweet Bean this week. Bean retired from walks earlier this year after many adventures and car snuggles. She was adopted as a senior after being severely mistreated, despite her past there was not a single human she didn't automatically love and trust, she was truly the sweetest soul. She would have walked away with any kind human with treats at the park, and was often looking for a free ride to a warm car from anyone! Bean enjoyed snuggling (dogs or humans She was not picky) a good sun beam and ANY kind of food. There isn't a dog who deserved to be spoiled and loved more for her final years here on earth and I'm grateful I got to be a part of it. I hope the sun is shining on you wherever you are little girl, we love you ❤

Truly heartbroken over the loss of our beloved Pj. Run free sweet boy ❤

Pj joined the pack December of 2016, already a grumpy old man, which is why we got along right away.

I have so many fond memories of my time with this guy, from the times he wandered away with people who had tastier treats, to when he locked himself on the balcony and I sped across the city thinking he had been stolen only to find him basking in the sun 😅

Pj loved to be carried koala style, the sunshine, food of any kind, his brother Todd, his pack and most of all his mama. He despised stairs, hills, snow on his paws, water on his belly and getting out of bed.

Walks will not be the same without you trailing behind us, reminding me to slow down and enjoy the day. Thank you for everything sweet boy ❤

🚨GOOD BOY ALERT🚨 Murphy helped me lure a nervous puppy back to their owner this afternoon in the parking lot after our walk. He made her feel comfortable enough to come to me so we could secure her and prevent her from potentially running across a busy road in flight mode. Murphy is a puppy whisperer and he is my go to dog in situations like this and he deserves his credit!❤
