Earned their Equine Massage Certification from the Canadian Equine Therapy Institute, putting in over 1200 hrs of study and practical work to date.
At Refresh Equine we are able to offer various types of services and modalities to our equine clients providing them with individual and specific treatments to meet each and every individual horses' needs. We currently offer a range of services from equine massage, lymphatic massage, advanced stretching techniques, hydrotherapy, kinesiology taping, acupressure, nutrition, and other rehabilitation and mobility techniques.
As Randelle & Kristen continue their studies with the Canadian Equine Therapy Institute they will be able to expand their services along the way. Some of the services currently offered are in the midst of studying and practicing towards certification. Both Randelle & Kristen are in the second year of an extremely intensive 4-year program with CETI.
Randelle & Kristen have also spent 120+ hours in study and practical work with Sidonia McIntyre, receiving an Equine Massage Certification and a Vertebral Realignment & Joint Play Certification.
Kristen & Randelle have a strong love for horses! It is through having other equine practitioners work on their own horses that made them realize how difficult it was to find someone who could evaluate and treat the "whole horse". Having to bring in an equine massage therapist for muscle soreness and circulation issues, and another for chiropractic work to address joint and mobility issues. To them, there was more to the big picture, many missing pieces to the puzzle, and most importantly the question as to why? Why does my horse feel this way? What is my horse trying to tell me? What can I do to finally fix the problem?
The answer brought us to the Canadian Equine Therapy Institute - Equine Remedial Therapy program. Through this program, we continue to develop a deep understanding of equine Biology; Osteology; Myology; Biomechanics; Neurology; Digestive, Urinary & Circulatory systems; and the Diaphragm. Upon completion of this 4-yr program, we will have Certification in Osteopathy, Cranial Sacral, Equine Chiropractics, Equine Massage, Acupressure & Acupuncture, and Herbal & Homeopathic remedies.
It is our passion is to help horses feel and perform at their very best, to listen and understand what they are trying to tell us.
Our goal is to speak a language built-in touch, silence and patience with our equine partners providing them with overall healing and wellness.
