Inga Morozoff Photography

Inga Morozoff Photography Hobbiest photographer and watercolourist What others have to say:
"I have had the pleasure of volunteering with Inga for just over a year now.

She takes amazing photos of our rescued, adoptable animals. Inga is somehow able to capture, in a photo, exactly what I see every dog's heart when I look at them. To me, Inga epitomizes, what I feel, is a true volunteer. She selflessly uses her mad photography skills to help us get hundreds of animals the attention they deserve through her fantastic photos." ~Jen, AARCS

"Your photos are always a

mazing! Even though my dog had crazy beans for breakfast, you were patient and able to capture how handsome he is. Don't ever quit what you're doing!" ~ Kelly

"Your photos are absolutely amazing!" ~Nancy

"A great photograph evokes emotion in its viewer. Congratulations on such outstanding work!! If there is ever a morning when you awake and you wonder "What is the purpose of what I am doing here?", never forget what a difference you are making in the lives of animals and humans alike. A lot of us sit at home and think about the things we "could" do with our talents....you actually get off your butt and DO it!" ~Rosemary

"Let Inga take your pics. She's !@ #$ awesome!" ~Name Withheld :-)

I had a wonderful morning photographing this very rare visitor to our area. This beautiful Snowy Egret is much smaller than I expected and proved to be a very skilled hunter. In the hour that I spent with this bird, it caught a wide variety of prey including fish, bugs, larvae, and worms. Thanks for looking!

After years of hearing but not seeing, I finally captured a Swamp Sparrow in front of my lens. These little sparrows typically stay deep in the reeds, only to emerge to sing their hearts out. At the same marsh, I also noticed this very wet coyote surveying the area from atop a beaver dam. It was a good day to be out!

I had the good fortune and privilege to watch a Red Fox den this week that's situated on private property. I didn't see all the kits out at the same time, but it appears there are five of them. Mamma has a big job to keep them fed! I never tire of getting wildlife opportunities such as this.

While everyone was on their way to work, I decided to pop out to a local park this morning. What a treat to spend a few quiet hours with this beautiful Common Loon and Red-necked Grebes. Of course, the muskrat had to pop out to say hello as well.

What a stellar evening for photography! I saw four Short-eared Owls, several Western Meadowlarks, and a Ring-neck Pheasant. All within 30 minutes from home and in a two hour time frame. The last Short-eared Owl was so calm and relaxed. I was parked right in front of him and he didn't seem to mind my presence at all. What a privilege!

I took advantage of the warm spring weather to get out for spring arrivals. I saw so much more than I was able to photograph! I missed photographs of Northern Harrier x 2, Red-tailed hawk, Swainson's Hawk, American Avocets, Black-necked stilts, and a Eurasian Collard Dove.

It's been an interesting couple of days driving the grid roads on the east side of the city. I saw no less than six Short-eared Owls which was a nice surprise. With the exception of one, they were shy and didn't stick around for a portrait. Then there was a muskrat with a fish for supper. For whatever reason, I thought these guys were vegetarian, so this was a surprise to see. I also saw California Gull with a missing leg and you can clearly see the stump when he took off in flight. Lastly, I saw an interesting behaviour with Gulls removing plugs or columns of ice to access the water. I'm not certain if this is their method of ice-fishing or not. Thanks for looking.

I've had to travel far and wide this year to see Snowy Owls and the only image I've managed is this one.
