Bruce and jovi don't play, this and smelling eachother are as much interaction as they enjoy together. I don't force it, instead I teach them both rules to respect each other.

This is Zeus; a 4 year old American akita/German Shepherd. I was called about his aggression towards everyone outside the family in the home, when I first met him I was in the bite suit and he did bite me the first 5 visits I came over. Now me and Zeus are buddies and I've been able to start the training, we are working on obedience and impulse control before we change how he perceives strangers emotionally. Because of his breed, he might always be aggressive towards strangers initially so the solution will be control and reducing the time it takes to trust someone, not making him love everyone as you can't change genetics.

Jovi doesn't like strangers in the house. She's always fine on a walk but is very territorial. My friend came over and I was able to introduce her right at the door and work on her manners, getting rid of the jumping as well as never leaving them alone when they are here.

This is Jovi, a 2 year old dogo argentino that I will be doing a 1 month board and train with that started yesterday. Jovi has 0 obedience; pulling, jumping on strangers, no recall and only listens when you have food. After I finish building her play and the obedience I will be tackling her behavior issues, she has bitten 5 people now around food or after being handled in a way she doesn't like (touching her paws, kissing her head).

My client took awesome photos during our off leash lesson with Bailey the mini goldendoodle and my dog Bruce the heeler/shepherd. I've been training Bailey 2 weeks now and she's off leash recalling in the middle of chasing bruce in a brand new environment. Will post video of that tomorrow.

6 month old German shepherd (old photo will have an up to date photo tomorrow) looking for a rehome, this is a dog that was going to be dumped at a shelter and my client instead offered to rehome him. He is severely underweight, nails are way too long and clearly had 0 training and socializing, I'm going to be working with him for 3-4 weeks to get him off leash trained and socialized.

Friendly with people, kids and dogs (untested with cats but probably not good with them).

REALLY good nerves, nothing bothers him from loud noises to fast moving objects.

Medium/high drive, I'm guessing he's a mix of working/show line as he has good drive but is settled after 20-30 minutes of work.

HIGH food drive, play drive and loves cuddles. He would play hard then lay on your lap for hours.

He will be available for the right home in 3 weeks after I fatten him up and get him off leash trained.

ONLY EXPERIENCED HOMES OR HOMES WILLING TO TRAIN WITH ME OR A TRAINER I APPROVE.

Dog is located in Paris but can meet halfway if you're far, ONTARIO ONLY and I will keep in contact frequently.

This is what happens when you let your dog mature and keep them intact for 1 heat cycle. shows this beautifully with only 1 month apart in these photos. The literature on early spay/neuter is clear (especially with large breeds) and letting males mature to 2 and allowing atleast 1 heat cycle for females (preferably 2) is healthiest. Early spay/neuter is responsible for tons of issues such as hip dysplasia with the only argument I hear is "to prevent the pet population". As someone with a 3.5 year old intact male who has never had a litter and will never have a litter, if you're not responsible enough to manage your male around females in heat or manage your female while in heat, you aren't responsible enough to own a dog. I've managed both intact males and females for years with 0 difficulty. If you're interested in learning more about the literature shoot me a DM and I'd be happy to send peer reviewed studies.

Jovi the day she was picked up versus Jovi today. This is my sisters dog and all the credit for Jovi's skin goes to her. These photos are about 2 months apart and she continues to get better everyday. She had severe bacterial skin and ear infections. The rescue we picked her up from never got her checked out, she was with the rescue in this condition for 6 months with 0 vet appointment and we were even told wasn't necessary (it very much was). Now jovis finally able to stop scratching and enjoy life.

Working a 15 month old female igp prospect in protection (no I'm not a good decoy, give me a few years to catch up to you decoys 😂). I haven't been involved in the sport for a few months now so when another trainer from my old club asked me to work his dog I couldn't say no. She'll be going for her BH this September where I'll also be helping prep her, which will help me learn how to prep my own dogs for trials in the future.

Maisey the 2 year old schnauzer is in training primarily for reactivity but also for basic obedience like pulling on the leash. Before being able to train maisey I had to address her fear with me. It's a bad idea to try to get a dog to play with you if they're afraid or aggressive, you must build a relationship first. It took 8 visits total coming over almost daily before she truly loved me and was playing really hard. We just did our first obedience lesson teaching the out and will first be getting control thru obedience and then addressing the reactivity (its out of excitement not aggression).

Client sent me this 4 hours after our play session of her young malinois puppy after telling me she couldn't get her to stop biting all day, shes been sleeping the whole time. Instead of tackling the issue head on, giving her outlets to express her true genetic makeup allowed her to finally have peace throughout the day, if you don't give them an outlet to bite they'll find their own fun 😉.

Max the border collie recalling off leash from a dog in a new environment. This was taught with the e collar in 2 sessions and has not been used since and is not used in this video at all.

I see a lot of people wanting their dog to be calm before doing everything. Max here is a perfect example of a dog with fixed personality traits where everytime he sees someone he knows and loves he tends to really show it. Instead of forcing him to be calm and attempt to change his genetics, we control and guide who he really is, I can let him be as crazy as much as I want, the second I ask for anything he'll do it because he loves it, we're actually using what the dog genetically finds reinforcing instead of trying to suppress it.

I often get asked "when should I spay/neuter my dog". The vet industry has convinced the general public that spay/neuter at 6 months is a good idea to prevent the pet population problem. Waiting until 2 to spay/neuter is critical for your dogs health. Everything from the bone structure to there hormones is dependant on if you wait or not. Pictured above is a dog at 10 months intact and that same dog at 15 months neutered. The picture speaks for itself.

I almost never have aversive tools on display for my page because that's what people tend to focus on. Instead of seeing an emotionally happy dog, they see the tool and instantly associate it with pain and fear. Ivan balabanov teaches us TWC trainers that the emotions of the dog ALWAYS comes first, the tool is the last thing on our mind. The prong collar is not training the dog, understanding emotions, motivation , learning theory and genetics is real dog training.

I got super excited because this was Ed's first time I introduce possession games and this was only 20 minutes after the first session. He picked play over the child who he really loves and before, the slightest noise or movement was enough to interrupt the play. Can't wait to see what else we can do in the next few weeks of this board and train, he's a really cool young presa with lots of drive.

Mack the 2 year old St Bernard/Poodle doing his first session working on reactivity around strange dogs, he has already bit three dogs, with the last one needing stitches. This was at the very end of the session so his motivation to play is done at this point but I was super happy with his progress so far, this was the 4th dog we brought out and he's starting to apply the concept with every dog.
