SHANNY & THE BOSTON TERRIER RESCUE OF CANADA!

After the passing of Justine's Nelson on May 7, she decided to become a foster parent for the rescue that
saved/treated/fostered and adopted out Nelson.

The Boston Terrier Rescue of Canada!

On Canada Day Justine welcomed her 1st foster Shanny. Shanny was driven all the way from Montreal to Cambridge, after being removed from a shelter at just 8 months old.

Shanny is in need of a spay, double cherry eye surgery, dental surgery, and came with a UTI!

Shanny is working on all the important puppy things like sit and remembering to use the washroom outside.

If you would like to donate to Shanny's medical needs or any other dog being foster by BTRC, please do so at their site!

Today we took a lot of precautions to keep all our pup clients safe.
-60 minute walks were cut to 30 mins.
'All walks were done before the hottest point of the day.
-One pack had an improvised pool party and one played in the Creek.
-Shade and drink breaks for walkers and dogs are mandatory.
-We walked on grass as much as possible.
-I (Justine) wore Crocs and no socks to test the the heat of the pavement before each walk.
-We concentrated on more sniffing and slower passed exercise.
-Air conditioning on in the cars always
Of course, pet parents could cancel if they chose.
