Lynx’s babies are getting so big! Their eyes are starting to open, if they’re anything like her first litter we are expecting lots of blue eyes. 🫐

Preliminary waitlist selections are complete, we will be opening up the rest of these pals for reservations later today! We will be reaching out to families who have already inquired first, and then posting any remaining pals on our website. As always reservations can be changed to other pals or future pairings freely anytime before temperament testing is completed. Once temperament testing is completed families will have the opportunity to review results and decide if their chosen pal will be a good fit.

Udon and Haku welcomed 10 beautiful babies on Sunday! 5 of them are perfect little red beans, take a peek! We will be reaching out to our waitlist families shortly, but it’s likely most (or possibly all) of these red babies will be on the hunt for their people. This is our only Bernedoodle pairing (no Aussie content) that will produce red puppies in the foreseeable future, so if you’ve been on the hunt for an Udon lookalike now is your chance! 🥰🍊🍜
All puppies will be furnished, with wavy, straight, or curly coats. Blue or brown eyes possible!

The rest of Flicker and Trygve’s beautiful babie! These pals are micro Aussie bernedoodles, about 25% Bernese, 25% Aussie, and 50% poodle. All of these pals are furnished.

We are excited to share our new addition! This beautiful gal is a purebred Bernese mountain dog. We weren’t planning on adding another Bernese to our program quite so soon, but this little pal has won us over with her incredibly sweet personality and low key super chill disposition. She is so low energy and she gives the best cuddles! If her OFA testing goes well we will hopefully be welcoming her first litter in around 2 years time 🙏

Haku and Udon are expecting a big litter! Haku looks like she will have 10+ pals based on her puppy count xray. We are expecting a range of colours and coat types, as well as a range of sizes. Energy levels should be low to medium, and puppies should be biddable and human focused. We expect these pals to be socially confident, touch tolerant, and outgoing. It’s possible some would make good service or therapy prospects!

Mr. Wickles having a frolic before bed last night. This handsome pal has been repeatedly overlooked because of his smaller white markings and curlier coat, however if you’re looking for an incredibly sweet and gentle best friend he would be an amazing choice! He’s been a wonderful older cousin to our younger puppies. He has a lovely coat reminiscent of a purebred poodle, we haven’t noticed any shedding and I think he would be a good choice for most individuals who have allergies. We haven’t tested his furnishings, but I think it’s likely he has two copies. He could pull off an elegant poodle trim, or continue to groom him like a wooly bear! He’s great for grooming and is very pleasant to live with. We aren’t in a rush, but it would be wonderful for him to find his very own people. He does great with cats, other dogs, kids, or he’d be an awesome companion for someone who is retired. Check out our website to learn more! www.sterlingdoodles.comp

The answer is lots and lots of grooming 😉 Not to mention some wonderful guardian families! Our guardian dogs receive free grooming at least every 4 weeks for the first ~10-12 months. We highly recommend getting your new doodle puppy on a 4 week schedule to start off for proper grooming socialization. A dog who loves grooming starts with your breeder (ideally breeders should be introducing puppies to professional grooming from an early age) but it doesn’t end there! I said what I said! 🤷‍♀️ You can’t say all doodles are unethical, and then turn around and support the breeding of Pekingese, French bulldogs, cavalier King Charles spaniels, Bernese mountain dogs, etc. simply because there’s tradition behind them! Doodle anti fans can share hypocrisy until the cows come home, but it doesn’t change the fact that lowering COI through outcrossing is a scientifically proven method for increasing average lifespan and decreasing the prevalence of many health concerns. We love purebred breeds, and we love doodles! All breeders should be striving to improve the health of their dogs, regardless of if they breed purpose bred mixed breeds, or purebreds. Let’s get past the hate and hypocrisy, we should all be working together to improve the health and longevity of man’s best friend.
