Meet Poppy🌺

Poppy's mom, Nala, came to us pregnant and while in foster gave birth to 4 little white and black fluff balls who are now ready for their furever homes.

Poppy loves to play and cuddle and loves to fall asleep in your lap or arms, she is a little more restricted on seeing other animals in the house but still has no issues with them. She is a very pretty black and white kitten with darker green eyes. Her favourite activity is to run around until she finds a comfy spot to lay on.

Holly is a typical diva; she's gorgeous, demands food and pets, but will let you know when she's had enough. Her favourite things to do are rolling in catnip, grooming her humans, and sleeping in ridiculous positions. Holly is easygoing as long as you respect the boundaries she sets. Once she's comfortable she'll happily curl up with you on the couch or in bed.

She gets along with cats, kids, and dogs. However, it recommended she go to a home with older or cat savvy kids. All Holly really needs is some patience and love, and she will be your best friend.

We should add in that she is on a strict diabetic diet if dry and canned. This is managing her blood sugar. She does not need insulin just to stay on the same diet she is eating now. A lot of time, appointments and testing was incurred to stabilize her blood sugars to be ready to be adoptable.

She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225

Russel came to us off the streets with his sister (adopted). He has adapted well to indoor life and loves to play and be pet. He's a chatty boy who will hold conversations with you and then run around playing and when tired come and want pets. He loves his doggy brother and loves to curl up with him for a good nap. Perfect for a home with a dog!

He is not a fan of being picked up and so he's not ideal for a home with young children.

When she came to the rescue with her siblings Ozzy (adopted) and Ezekiel (still available) they were all very shy and took several months to settle into indoor life. Ozzy was first and easily adopted months ago. Esmerelda was next to come around, but has been looking for home for over 6 months now.

Hi I'm Salem 🐈‍⬛❤️

I was rescued from the streets at about 6 months old by some amazing people. They took me in and loved me and it was so great. Unfortunately I didn't really like their other cats and that was stressful for everyone. So they made the very hard choice to give me uo to a rescue. After some research they chose the wonderful team of CHCR.

They took me in and gave me a great foster family that loves me so much and gave me some time and understanding. I settled in quickly.

My favourite things to play with was a little ball of bread I kind off took. I also really like the red tunnel. Don't judge I have had to learn about toys and how to play.

I don't love loud noises and have been a little silly when scared. In my foster we have had some visitors and was very good and friendly. Even with the noisy little ones. I gave them all lots of attention.

I would be best in a quieter home with no other animals. Maybe older and cat savvy kids would be OK too.

She is spayed, has age appropriate vaccinations and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $225.

Happy Tales, Coco and Shelby (formerly Annie Sue) who were from 2 different fosters but were adopted together and now best friends for life. ❤️❤️

Their new mom says "Coco and Shelby are just incredible. Spoiled rotten already. Complete love bugs. Purr machines the minute you touch them. I swear they have already grown some."

She praised the fosters for the amazing job they did and how helpful they were in the adoption process.

We have some amazing news! For those of you who were following along with Galaxy’s story, we are so happy to announce that she has found her furever home! 🥰

Trixie is a truly sweet girl. She will flop over for gentle tummy rubs as soon as she’s petted. Trixie is fine with being picked up and held for short periods of time. She is a very happy girl and she lays around and purrs for no reason other than she is so contented. Trixie will lay beside you for some pets on the couch or she may curl up behind you if you happen to lay down. She’s very inquisitive and she loves to follow her foster mom around the house. Trixie will cry for attention and pets. She is an avid hunter so she will spot any insect that has entered the house no matter how small. You will always have an insect free home.

Trixie was born outdoors and she showed up during a snow storm with her mom and two siblings at a rural home. The home owner was kind enough to feed them and provide them with a heated winter shelter.

She loves interactive play with wand toys, truly loves chasing a laser light or she can keep herself occupied by batting her toys around or wrestling and interacting with other foster cats. Another of her favourite past times is just sitting in the window watching the birds and squirrels. She usually takes her afternoon naps in a cat tree.

Trixie is shy at first with new people and places therefore she is looking for a patient adopter who will give her the time it takes for her to become comfortable. Once comfy in her new home you will see just how affectionate and playful this little girl really is. Trixie would do best with a single adopter or a quiet couple because of her initial shyness.

She has always had other cats around therefore she would do best with a young friendly cat in the home to play with and give her confidence. She may be okay as an only cat if her adopter works from home or has a good amount of time to spend with her. She will let you know if she feels she’s not getting enough attention.

Trixie is at last looking for a home of her own where she can run, play, feel loved and just be carefree.

Thor is a 4 year old boy who is a gorgeous black panther.

He is a sweet boy, who is not happy with the other animals in his home. Despite attempts at slow re-introductions it's not working out. He would love to be the only cat in your life so he can have all your attention. He also wouldn't do well in a home with young children or lots of loud noises.

He has struggled with an ear infection (now treated) and has a history of bladder crystals so he is on Science Diet Urinary and Stress cat food - chicken flavour. And due to the ear infection, he still has a slight head tilt.

Hi, My name is Camilla and I just turned five months old!

I have a shorthaired silky coat with beautiful spots and strips. My mom was very wild but some great people managed to catch her and get her safe inside just in time to have her babies. She did not want to be an indoor kitty and was very unhappy. She pushed us away a little too early so we had a bit of a rough start learning how to eat on our own. I was a little sick when I was little but am healthy and strong now and ready for my furrever home.

I follow my foster mom around everywhere as I like to see what she is doing, and I don’t want to miss anything. I have a lot of energy when I play. I love to run, jump and climb and roll around with my sisters. I even come when I am called. I am hoping to find a loving home where I can feel safe, loved and cared for.

URGENTLY NEEDS A HOME OR FOSTER!!!!! Meet Bella, a 4-1/2 year old female DSH who was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) a condition that affects her balance and coordination. She has a very endearing personality and she has adjusted to her foster home remarkably well. Sadly our foster is no longer able to care for her and we are currently trying to find another foster home or permanent home for her. She requires a low sided litter box that she can easily access, surrounded by puppy pads in case she overshoots. There have been no issues with her using her litter box in her foster home. A carpeted home on one level would be best to help her get around more easily but she is able to traverse the bare floors in her foster home without losing her balance. She can climb a cat tree but needs something to cushion her landing when she propels herself off. She cannot jump into a chair or couch, so pulls herself up. She uses a scratching post or the carpet on her tree to sharpen her claws. Her method of communicating is by short little squeaks or chirps. She had never met a dog but is very comfortable in the presence of the Golden Retriever in her foster home, who has claimed her as her own personal animated squeaky toy. She loves head pats and tummy rubs and playing with her favorite toys. When she sleeps, she sandwiches herself between two blankets. Adopting a CH kitty is a very rewarding experience as they teach you so much about courage, determination and adaptability. Bella has no other health issues and would have the same life expectancy as a normal cat. Meet Feisty 🐱 Feisty was a shy, spicy kitten when she first came to the rescue. It took her a few months to realize that humans are friends and not something to be scared of. Fast forward to now, look how far Feisty has come! She now seeks out pets and attention from humans and has become a totally sweetheart ❤️ Don’t let Feistys name fool you… she just wants all the love would be an amazing companion. She is still just a kitten, so she also loves to play! Feisty also has a beautiful coat with calico markings 😻 This is why we should never judge a cat by their initial reactions. This video is an example of how awesome our fosters are. It was taken very early yesterday morning. The people you see are an amazing couple attempting to secure 4 scared/not yet socialized cats into carriers to transport to their surgery appointments. This cat family were living in the couples backyard and they asked us to help get them inside, socialized, vetted and up for adoption. We of course jumped at the offer. This video had us in stitches yesterday and we had to share. They are kind, brave and learning as they go and clearly have a great sense of humor. This adorable cutie is still available. All her siblings have been adopted. She and her siblings were left in a box outside a greenhouse abandoned. Our amazing fosters too them in and have done an amazing job at socializing them. She is used to being around cats, dogs and lots of humans who visit the shop she is being fostered in. Macchiato is spayed, had her first set of 3 shots and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $275.
