🐾 Meet Jack and Walter! 🐾

We’re thrilled to share the heartwarming progress of Jack and Walter, two beloved dogs whose journeys with Core K9 have been truly inspiring.

Jack, a sensitive soul, initially struggled with reactivity issues exacerbated by improper training methods with an e-collar. Despite the challenges, his owners, Nick and Michelle, sought our help with patience and determination. Through dedicated efforts and positive reinforcement techniques, Jack has made incredible strides. He’s regained his confidence on walks, showing significant improvement in his reactivity towards other dogs. Nick and Michelle can now enjoy walks with Jack again, confidently managing any reactive moments and redirecting his focus. We commend them for their unwavering commitment to Jack’s well-being.

On the other paw, we have Walter, the gentle giant Saint Bernard. Walter’s main challenge was structure and routine. With a little guidance (and a lot of treats!), Walter has transformed into a delightful companion. His friendly demeanor now charms the entire neighborhood during walks, spreading joy wherever he goes.

At Core K9, we respect every dog’s unique journey and the efforts of their previous trainers. We don’t speak negatively about others and maintain confidentiality. Our focus is solely on helping dogs like Jack and Walter thrive through compassionate, effective training methods.

This little cutie is Valentine. She is Core K9’s newest puppy graduate. This past Valentine’s Day she became an addition to a very loving and caring family. She is an excited, happy puppy who is always ready to play! Valentine has just completed her puppy course and will be taking huge strides into the big world. We are excited to continue guiding Valentine and her family through the next stages of her life.

It's with great pleasure that we'd like to congratulate Jeff and Shannon on all their success with their 2 Beagle puppies. Jeff and Shannon first contacted Core K9 for guidance with their 7 month old puppies. Most clients know how overwhelming a young puppy can be, and I credit Jeff and Shannon for raising 2 at the same time. We helped them with crate training, house manners and obedience. When we started with Jeff and Shannon, their puppies were pulling on walks, always had their nose to the ground (typical of the breed). They would jump on everyone they met and would clear food off tables and counter tops. They are still puppies and will make mistakes, but Jeff and Shannon now have full control of every situation and through patience and consistency they will have much success with their puppies. Congratulations to Dean, Tina and their furry little friend Aussie for completing our 6 week private lessons! Dean and Tina first contacted Core with concerns of Aussie reacting to people, dogs, cars, busses etc. Aussie was very nervous and and thought the world was out to get him. We first worked on his obedience and then started to expose him to different stimulus around the city. He no longer reacts on his walks. He is still a little insecure at times but quickly becomes more confident as the walk progresses. Dean and Tina have done a great job and will continue to build confidence in Aussie. It was a pleasure to work with you, any concerns you have moving forward we will always support you!

I'd like to congratulate Sarah and Jordan on all the amazing work they've done with their dog Reese. Sarah and Jordan came to us with concern of Reese's reactivity towards people and other animals. Reese was absolutely amazing to train and very quick to catch on to all of her obedience commands. Within the first week she showed significant improvement concerning her reactivity to where it was almost non-existent. Through hard work and dedication Sarah and Jordan have completely done a 360 with Reese and are able to enjoy relaxing walks with her! Great job guys! It was a pleasure to work with you.

This is Sean and Reese. They recently just completed our 6 week course in private lessons. Sean and his wife Jen came to me over the summer needing help with Reeses' obedience and some unwanted behaviors in their house such as stealing food from the kids and counter surfing. They worked really hard on this big guy! They are now able to enjoy they're walks with out being pulled and his obedience is very good. He's doing really well in the house, I'm proud of you guys keep up the good work!

I'd like to congratulate Meredith and Richard on completing their 6 week private sessions with Core K9. They came to us with goals of addressing reactivity with both their beautiful companions, Brinny and Peppa. When they first came to us they were unable to go for walks without hiding behind trees every time a dog or squirrel came across their path. They are both doing much better, they're now able to enjoy their walks in busy parks full of dogs and other wild life. Keep up the good work guys!

For those of you that follow us on Instagram or Facebook you may have seen pictures of Chief. His owner sent me this video update of Cheif's obedience training. I can only give you the knowledge and tools to achieve your goals. At the end of the day it's your commitment that will provide you with results. This is a perfect example of hard work and dedication. came to us with goals of off leash training for his puppy. Chief is now only 8 months old. These are the results I want to see before I will ever agree to teaching a client how to go off leash. I'm so proud of you guys! This is what it's all about. I love to see my clients updates and the success they've had after training with us. Keep up the amazing work guys I look forward to working with you again.

This is Greg, Aimee and their beautiful rescue Loki. I'm proud to say they are some of the nicest people I've met. Loki came to us as an agressive case. They tried to work with other trainers before who were unable to work with Loki, but they never gave up on this dog. They completed 6 weeks of private lessons with us. Loki is now doing much better, he still has the odd time where he reacts to people and other dogs, but they are now able to quickly get him back under control. Their hard work and dedication to Loki is unmatched. I'm proud of you guys, keep it up! Hopefully we will see each other soon under different circumstances.
